The tourist deathtrap where Joelle Marguerite Janine Gaiffe from the Tahitian capital Papeete was killed is a road that leads to Taranaki’s “scenic attraction,” the Whitecliffs walkway.

She was the passenger in an [unroadworthy rental] 1996 Honda Integra when it collided head-on with a Nissan Pathfinder on Puke aruhe Rd, near Urenui, north of New Plymouth, and  was killed at the scene at about 4pm on March 10, 2009.

Her husband Francis Louis Georges Gaiffe, 43, who suffered serious leg and facial injuries in the crash, was airlifted to Taranaki Base Hospital by Helicopter.

The [defective] rental car in which she was traveling “was extensively damaged with bull bars from the ute [pickup truck] embedded in its crumpled bonnet that had been pushed back into the shattered windscreen.”

A nincompoop Senior Sergeant said the police “did not yet know why the collision on the slightly bending road had occurred.”

“My guys told me that initially when they got out here it was raining, however it is too early to say whether or not that was a factor. It’s too early to say whether speed or inattention were a factor either.”

The two traveling in the Nissan Pathfinder, “a 20-year-old woman from Stratford, and her front seat passenger, a 24-year-old Canadian man, were also taken to hospital” with  non-fatal  injuries.

New Zealand Kills an Argentine

Posted by te2ataria on March 11, 2009

An Argentine and a New Zealander were killed when their defective Tandem hang-glider folded and their faulty reserve parachute failed to open

Gerardo Bean, a commercial pilot from Argentina, and Andrew Scotland, a New Zealander, were killed after their ‘defective’ hang glider made a steep turn, the wings folded back and collapsed.

“The fatal flight was launched from an area known as The Knoll on the Remarkables (!) and crashed into Boyd’s Paddock at Kelvin Heights, a southern suburb of Queenstown, around 10.15am yesterday.” A media report said.

The Moderator believes the authorities would have found it extremely difficult to suppress news of the double fatal crash because one of the two victims was a New Zealander. Mr Scotland had been in Queenstown attending a conference, and had stayed behind afterward with his wife and  four others, all of whom witnessed the crash, to participate in the flight.

Blinded prisoner’s family banned

The Dominion Post [11 march 2009]

The mother and 16-year-old daughter of a prisoner stabbed in the eyes twice in six months say they have been banned from visiting him in prison.

Suzanne Waara said her son, John Henry Waara, 35, had gone on a hunger strike and was refusing medication in protest at his treatment in prison.

She said Waara was discharged from hospital on Monday and returned to 24-hour lockdown at Palmerston North’s Linton prison after an attack that saw an inmate rip the stitches from his eyes.

The Dominion Post reported yesterday that Waara was blinded after being stabbed in the eyes with a fork in October.

The Mongrel Mob affiliate was attacked again in the prison day room while talking to a friend last week. He believes it was the same attacker.

His mother said he was in extraordinary pain. “He told me that he attacked his eyes and broke all the stitches.”

When Ms Waara and her granddaughter, Aroha, asked to visit him in prison yesterday, they were turned down “because we talked to media”. Corrections denies this but a spokeswoman would not say why they had been banned.

Waara told his mother yesterday that he had been placed on 24-hour lockdown for his protection, and was on a hunger strike and refusing medication in protest.

Ms Waara said he would need at least painkillers and antibiotics to treat infection in his eyes.

Corrections has said that Waara was put in protective custody after the first attack, but was allowed to return to the mainstream prison when he complained and assured staff he felt safe.

He refused to co-operate with police on the first attack, and no charges were laid. Police are investigating the latest attack.

It is not known why Waara is in jail.

Excerpts from an earlier article by EMILY WATT, The Dominion Post:

John Waara, 34, of Palmerston North, lost his sight in both eyes after another prisoner grabbed him by the neck from behind and stabbed him in the eyes with a fork in Linton prison last year.

He was attacked again last week, he believes by the same person. He would not tell his mother the extent of his injuries because he said he did not want to worry her.

But he said he had had surgery and his eyes had been sewn up after the latest attack.

“He said to me ‘Mum, how did it happen? I’ve had enough. I’m a sitting duck, I can’t see. I can’t do anything,” his mother Suzanne Waara said.

Ms Waara said after the first attack, her son asked for home detention because he feared he would be attacked again. It was declined by the courts and he was sent back to prison.

It is not known what Waara is in prison for or for how long.

Racial stabbing ‘not racial’ spin goes on

Brownhead NZ police: Attack not ‘race-based’

No, it was a whitewash by one-eyed aliens drifting to Australocosta

It makes you wonder what the lying, cheating nincompoop NZ police say about the other Korean Student, Mr Kim, whose head was chopped off in New Zealand by a pakeha [European land thief turned racial supremacist.]

What about the hundreds of Korean and other ‘colored’ students and immigrants who are racially abused, assaulted, raped and murdered in New Zealand each year.

Not racially based? You fibbing stinkpots!

‘One in a million’ incident BS

College principal Brent Lewis said the statements made about his ruthless cash cow  were  inaccurate and inflammatory.
The 17-year-old Korean studen Tae Wong Chung stabbed his racist teacher after he insulted the Korean race.  Photo: JOHN SELKIRK. Image may be subject to copyright.

“The college and its community are concerned and distressed at these unfounded allegations in the media that the college tolerates racism.” Lewis said.

You lying bi#ch!

“Chung has been charged with wounding Mr Warren with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and remanded in custody for a psychiatric report to appear again in a fortnight.” Media reported.

Mr Chung, with his life ruined, never bargained for any of this. No one ever told him he couldn’t defend his ‘national honor’ in New Zealand.  He has only the diplomats and staff at Korean embassy and consulate as well as his country’s news media to thank for. They never told his parents how racist and dangerous poxy New Zealand really was for a ‘yellow’ student.
