  • Evil cop goes Scot-free despite attempted double murder

  • Incompetent cop escapes custodial punishment after nearly killing two

[You decide which of the above two headlines is more appropriate.]

Anthony Dale Bridgman, 58, who was found guilty of two counts of dangerous driving in March, for nearly killing two motorcyclists, was ordered to pay $60,000 in compensation.

He was also given a Micky-mouse sentence of 100 hours community service and warned not to let anyone know that he could still drive despite a 12-month ban (!)

Anthony Dale Bridgman, 58, “a former police officer” who allegedly did a u-turn in the road, hitting and nearly killing two motorcyclists, was today ordered to pay each victim $30,000 in reparation.

3-point turn 1
Anthony Dale Bridgman nearly killed the two motorcyclists. Even though he was found guilty, he was only sentenced to 100 hours of community work, and $30,000 to each of his victim. [He offered to pay $5 a week to the victims.]  Such is the power of  the police farce in a police state called “New Zealand.”

Bridgman, a Blenheim-based highway patrol sergeant, decided to play judge, jury and executioner. He moved his police car across the road, suddenly blocking the path of the speeding motorcyclists as they approached, in the Upper Buller Gorge in December 2007.

Both motorcyclists collided with his patrol car and suffered serious head injuries.

Bridgman retired from the police farce after 30 years disservice to the community.
