Asian Students’ Dorm in Christchurch Set Ablaze

A students’ dorm used by Asian students in Christchurch, New Zealand, was set ablaze early on Sunday.
Firefighters were reportedly called to the house in Riccarton, a suburb of Christchurch, at about 2.30am. The fire crew claimed that no one was hurt in the fire.
“The property was extensively damaged with the roof partially collapsed in one area.” A report said.
Asian students in New Zealand are considered as soft targets and a “fair go” for murder, gang rape, mugging, and racially motivated violence including serious assaults and kidnapping.
