New Zealand Bathtub Navy’s 2nd New Vessel Breaks Down on Maiden Voyage
Informed sources told blog moderator the ship has also sprung a leak!
Two new naval vessels, lots of hilarious disasters. Well, the adventures of the Micky Mouse navy would have been hilarious had not the money to buy the dud ships come from the same purse that denies more than a quarter of a million poor kids in this country their most basic needs like food and health.
Navy chief Butt Admiral Tony Parr said: Wellington and its sister ship Otago were designed and built to patrol and protect New Zealand, the Southern Ocean and the Pacific. [It’s too bad you can’t keep them afloat long enough to leave the harbour, Butt Admiral]
STICK THE GUNS MR KEY! The kids are malnourished.
Navy’s new ship breaks down
The navy’s newest ship has been forced to abort its maiden voyage because of engine problems, just months after its sister ship suffered the same fault.
The HMNZS Wellington had to divert to Sydney during its voyage from Melbourne to Auckland today after a water seal leaked in its port engine and its starboard engine control system developed a fault.
Engine problems also struck Wellington’s sister ship, the offshore patrol vessel HMNZS Otago, which had to delay its maiden voyage to Auckland in March.
Wellington was in the Tasman Sea about 650km from Sydney when the problem was discovered early this morning.
Technicians from the engine’s manufacturer MAN have met the ship in Sydney and were working with the ship’s engineers. The engine is under warranty so repairs will not cost the navy anything.
It is the seventh and last ship in the $500 million Project Protector fleet, and with its delivery the navy will have a fleet of 12.

Keep Out! Stay Alive!
Let’s not insult French tourists by calling them masochists
The problem is, unlike tourists from other countries, most French visitors KNOW the risks of traveling to New Zealand.
Nightmare in New Zealand
Three French tourists thought they were about to die as they were being severely beaten in Northland by two men who said they were police officers.
Antonin Schopfer, 27, Guillaume Rey, 26, and Sebastien Vautier, 29, finally reveal details of their ordeal-nightmare in New Zealand.
“The trio were nearing the end of a three-week campervan trip and were tired after driving back from Cape Reinga and parked in a rest area near Mangamuka, east of Kaitaia. They were fast asleep when there was a knock on the window about 1.30am.” Dominion Post reported.
Mr Schopfer said two men said they were police officers and wanted them to open the door.
“When that failed they asked for money, and the frightened Frenchmen handed about $500 through a window.”
$500 Won’t buy You Much in New Zealand
“They started kicking the door and it exploded. They came into the van and started beating one of my friends and the other got punched in the face,” Mr Schopfer said
“They were saying they had a gun so the three of us really thought we were going to die. It was the worst moment of my life and it was the same for my friends.”
“Though Mr Schopfer escaped injury, Mr Vautier was kicked and repeatedly punched – losing a tooth – while he was still in bed.” The DomPost said.
The two “police officers” stole two cellphones and a camera.
“The trio say they struggle to understand why such violence was necessary.” DomPost said.
“They could have taken everything without beating us,” Mr Schopfer said. “One of them was beating my friend for no reason. Maybe they thought we had more money but my friend kept saying: `No, we’ve given you all the money’.”

YOU WOULD HAVE THOUGHT IT’S ALREADY END TIME FOR NZ
Snow Blizzard, Heavy Winds, Torrential Rains, Flooding, Landslides on the Way!
Meanwhile, a cold snap was expected to move to the the South Island bringing in snow and misery before the weekend, NZPA said.
MetService forecaster Andy Downs said the worst of the heavy rain had moved to the east but there would be more showers and strong southerlies in Wellington and plunging temperatures in the South Island.
Snow was likely to reach 300 metres in eastern parts of Southland and Otago tonight and down to 200m in Canterbury and Otago tomorrow.
“The temperatures will be hovering near to freezing.”
Waitaki Civil Defence spokesman Richard Mabon said the forecast snowfalls would be a big concern to farmers who had moved stock to higher ground because of flooding, and could see stock moved for the second time in three days.
Earlier the army was called in to help residents stranded by flooding in North Otago, th ereport said. “Soldiers and two Unimogs would today attempt to access areas cut off by heavy rain.”
It’s rumored that none of those being evacuated boarded the two Iroquois helicopters on standby, due to safety concerns.
“Heavy rain isolated Oamaru yesterday and an evacuation assembly point was set up in Kakanui, 11km away.”
WILL New Zealand be one of the first countries to GO?

Poorly Trained or Incompetent? YOU Decide!
Another New Zealand pilot flying a helicopter bites the dust
A 50-year-old New Zealand male piloting a helicopter in Victoria’s Gippsland region hit power lines and crashed his flying toy to the ground.
“Emergency services were called to Ballmans Rd, Ryton Junction, at around 2pm (4pm NZT) on Thursday and discovered helicopter wreckage.” A report said.
“It is believed the pilot was spraying in the area and has hit power lines before crashing to the ground,” a police spokeswoman said in a statement.
“The pilot, a 50-year-old from New Zealand, died at the scene.”

What is it they do to the kids at King’s College?
Two Three Students Found Dead in Little Over 2 Months in the Same School
Auckland’s Kings College is dealing with its third tragedy this year after the death today of a Year 11 student.
A 15-year-old student at “Kings of Death College” was rushed to Auckland Hospital in a critical condition “after a fall” last night. He died earlier this afternoon, the media reported. .
“Support from chaplains and counselors is being offered to students and parents.” A report said.
What we want to know is the whereabouts of the &*&%^$ college chaplain was when the boy “fell.”
For those of the readers who are just following this tragic farce from Act III, a 16-year-old King’s College student James Webster died last week and another student William Thode, a boarder at King’s College in Otahuhu, south Auckland, left the school in a body bag in February.
Informed sources tell us that another student from King’s college went missing in August 2009, which the police knows about, but there has been zero publicity about the case.
The Moderators are convinced something really evil is happening in King’s College, and the authorities know about it!
Why haven’t the police released name and nationality of the deceased student?

Something Painful about Canadian Tourists’ Unusual Pleasures?
Our regular readers probably recall The Dumbest Tourist of the Month Award, which went to another Canadian tourist in January.
Matt Brazeau, 36, a Canadian tourist needed hospital treatment after he was severely lanced by an stingray when he tried to get a piggy ride!
The Dumbest Tourist of the Month Award [MAY 2010]
Here’s another story of a Canadian tourist who got too friendly with venomous katipo spider, and was bitten on the penis. this is how NZPA reported it
A venomous katipo spider bite on his penis was the high price a tourist paid for a skinny-dip at a Northland beach.
The 22-year-old Canadian left his clothes in the sand dunes while he went for his nude swim and slept on his return, according to a report on the case in today’s online NZ Medical Journal.
“He woke to find his penis swollen and painful with a red mark on the shaft suggestive of a bite. He rapidly developed generalised muscle pains, fever, headache, photophobia [light sensitivity] and vomiting,” wrote Dr Nigel Harrison and colleagues who treated him at Dargaville and Whangarei hospitals.
By the time the man reached Dargaville Hospital, his penis was severely swollen, his blood pressure was up and his heart beat racing.
Chest pain and other symptoms developed the next morning and it was presumed he had been bitten by a katipo. He was treated with anti-venom medicine and rapidly improved.
However, heart problems persisted and he was treated at Whangarei Hospital and Auckland Hospital before returning to Canada.
Katipo spiders are known to have a highly specialised habitat in New Zealand sand dunes and will bite only rarely, and in defence.
This was the first known case of myocarditis, or heart inflammation, caused by a bite, Dr Harrison said.
A prompt diagnosis and the use of anti-venom resulted in a good outcome for the tourist, he said. Copyright NZPA
As for the ‘Dumbest and Sickest New Zealand Youth of the Month Award’, it must go to the “Donkey Rapist.”

Doing a bungy jump in New Zealand is like having a brain transplant in Amazon
No, it wasn’t necessarily bungy jumping that nearly killed Mrs Moulder; it was bungy jumping in New Zealand that nearly got her.
First, a little good news for her husband and family: She is showing signs of improvement, a hospital spokeswoman says.
Last Friday, the 39-year-old Australian woman Kirsty Moulder who was holidaying with her husband Rodney in the South Island, decided to experience bungy jumping, a decision which she would probably live to regret for the rest of her life.
She made the 35-metre jump, but on the second bounce she slipped through the bungy, fell into the icy cold waters below and was critically injured in New Zealand’s South Island.
“She sustained chest and arm injuries to her left side, which took the brunt of her impact into the river,” paramedics told the New Zealand Herald.
“She was doing a bungy jump and, on the second bounce, her shoe became dislodged and as she came down she slipped through the bungy and fell into the water,” a paramedic said.
Mrs Moulder underwent a “very long, serious operation” at Christchurch Hospital on Monday night, her mother told local reporters.
“We’re not sure what’s gone wrong and we are working with an independent investigator here in New Zealand to make sure we get to the bottom of what’s happened,” Blair Hartland, a spokesman for Thrillseekers Adventures told AAP.
As for the damages, medical bills and serious injury compensation, he said: “Any arrangements that are being made between us and them are confidential at this stage.”
The blog moderators wish Kirsty Moulder a speedy recovery to the fullest extent possible.
As for anyone planning to write in saying two other people jumped the same day, and they didn’t get killed, that would be of little consolation to Kirsty Moulder.
Let’s hope the macho kiwi culture [sic] won’t poke fun at Kirsty Moulder in the same way they did with the British tourist Emily Jordan who was one of the many tourists tragically killed in New Zealand: Sick NZers Make Fun of British Woman They Killed
In 2008, this Blog wrote:
World’s 10 Worst Holiday Destinations to Avoid, with NZ occupying positions 1 to 7
The list also takes into account the following factors:
- Exposure to deadly chemicals
- Exposure to viral infections
- Unsanitary food, accommodation
- Exposure to sewage contaminated beaches and waterways
- Little or NO access to even rudimentary medical facilities in the case of record numbers of deadly road crashes, and inordinate number of deaths and near-fatal injuries caused by using defective equipment for climbing, tramping, paragliding, bungy jumping, skiing, canoeing, diving and all other mountain, snow, water sports and outdoor activities
- Deadly roads
- Defective, old, poorly maintained rental cars, quad-bikes, jet skis, and all other sports equipment
- Inadequate or NO supervision in venues where extreme sports are touted
- Little or NO warning posted in dangerous places and unsafe areas that pose a life threat, or serious injuries, to the visitors, but are invariably advertised as “popular hot spots” to lure unsuspecting foreign visitors
Another Australian Victim
Meanwhile, a young Australian climber is stranded with a suspected collapsed lung in a hut on New Zealand’s highest mountain.
Note to our readers, notice to Google
Once again a perfectly healthy individual was lured to New Zealand, who is now hospitalized with very serious injuries. She may never fully recover from this unnecessary yet life-threatening ordeal.
The Blog Moderators and contributors believe Google, Inc., by blocking, or hiding the information posted on this blog, denied Mrs and Mr Moulder the opportunity to make informed decisions about (i) choosing New Zealand as a safe holiday destination, and (ii) considering bungy jumping in New Zealand as a safe activity.
To Google Founders and Employees,
How could you live with yourselves, knowing that people are being killed and seriously injured every hour, minute of the day, every day, because you prevented vital information concerning their safety from reaching them?
And nearly 2,000 more foreigners in the past 10 years:

What is it they do to the kids at King’s College?
Two Students Found Dead in Little Over 2 Months in the Same School
How Did William Richard Thode Die?
William Richard Thode, 15, a student boarder at King’s College in Otahuhu, south Auckland, was fond dead on February 17, 2010.
King’s College is an exclusive secondary school for rich kids, pakeha and foreigners who like to send their kids abroad, teaching boarding and day students from Year 9 to Year 13 [14 to 18 year-old.]
Police initially said “the death did not appear to be suspicious,” but further tests were required to determine the actual cause of death “and results should be available within the next two or three weeks.”
Mr Thode’s body was discovered at about 7.20am.
How Did James Webster Die?
James Webster, 16, died in his sleep. What drove him to drink a bottle of vodka, if that’s what really killed him?
King’s College student James Webster’s uncle, Donald Webster, said the 16-year-old King’s College schoolboy who died in his sleep had “everything to live for.”
King’s College chaplain Reverend Warner Wilde (!) said: “He was such a lovely guy. He was the most cheerful, positive, kind boy you could hope to meet. He was God’s very special little boy.” A report said.
They say he drank a bottle of vodka, which killed him. At least the reported cause of death in his case appears to be convincing.
It would be interesting to compare the death stats at King’s College with other schools, even entire communities. But that sort of data is not available.

This is going from bizarre to bloody ridiculous!
First the Mother and Two Daughters, Now the Husband and Father are Murdered/Killed/Found Dead
The husband of Korean woman and father of their two girls who were murdered/killed/died in their Christchurch home last week has now been found murdered/killed/dead.
Young Jin Baek, 44, Korean father and husband whose estranged wife and two teenage daughters were killed, was found dead today. Photo: IAIN McGREGOR- The Press. Image may be subject to copyright.
Police said Young Jin Baek, 44, was found dead in Avonhead, a Christchurch suburb, yesterday morning. “It is believed to have been in a public place,” said a report.
[Arranged that way so no one would suspect anyone/anything!?]
Police confirmed in a statement this afternoon that he was the husband and father of the Korean family found dead in the city last week. Sung Eun Cho, 43, and two daughters, Yeon Sue Baek (Kelly), 13, and Yeon Jae Baek (Holly), 17, died at their home in Apsley Drive, Avonhead.
“Police are not seeking anyone else in connection with the death and it has referred to the Coroner’s Office,” police statement said, without giving any reasons or details.
“At the end of last week, Mr Baek’s lawyer said the father of two was ‘overcome with enormous grief.'”
“Mr Baek is obviously very, very devastated and is not making any comments,” the family lawyer, who declined to be named, said at the time.
“I think he needs some help and needs to rest. As a friend and father, I can relate to the pain he is going through.”
That’s all well and fair but he wasn’t even living with his wife and daughters.
What is a kiwi Contract?
A kiwi contract is the killing of wealthy foreigners for their cash and other assets. Usually the entire family, often wealthy retired couples, are killed and their bank accounts emptied afterward.
In October 2009, in Missing Presumed Dead the blog said:
[Teams of gangsters consisting of ] Key individuals within the SIS [NZ spy network] and NZ Immigration agents, who have access to private information on foreigners and are trained on surveillance and murder techniques, as well as a number of bank officers in international banks operating in this country, are directly involved in the murders [of wealthy foreigners who are lured to this country for ‘lifestyle.’]
THE BLOG WILL CONTINUE INVESTIGATING THIS BIZARRE QUAD MURDERS/DEATHS.

Police Withhold 2 Key Information
1. In Srikanth Rayadurgam case, dead means Murdered
2. They probably know who killed him
Police have finally conceded that Srikanth Rayadurgam, 23, is probably dead. Mr Rayadurgam left the Mt Albert home of his sister Padam and Mr Kakanoor, where he lived, on Thursday, October 1, 2009. See Below.
His wallet and some personal items, INCLUDING HIS SHOES were found at the Westhaven Marina. However, it took a week before police divers searched the area. Why delay search for such a long time? Probably because (i) they knew exactly what had happened to him, and (ii) they thought his family wouldn’t care and all woul be forgotten soon.
The victim’s brother-in-law, Mr Kakanoor, believes the police bungled the case because they waited 7 days before attempting a half-hearted search.
“He said the only time he did not think about Mr Rayadurgam was when he was asleep.” NZPA reported.
“There is no closure, it is the biggest thing which is happening in our life,” Mr Kakanoor said.
Indian Student Missing in New Zealand, Presumed “Murdered.”
Another Victim of New Zealand Racism!
Srikanth Rayadurgam, 23, an AUT student has been missing for 4 days.
MISSING PRESUMED “MURDERED.” Srikanth Rayadurgam, 23, an Auckland University of Technology (AUT) student, was last seen by his family around midday on October 1 when he left his Mt Albert home, Auckland, New Zealand.
He was last seen by his when he left his Mt Albert home about midday on October 1, 2009, and was reported missing at 10 pm by family members who called the police.
The victim’s wallet was discovered by a cyclist near Westhaven Marina, St Mary’s Bay, around 8am the following day.
The incompetent New Zealand Police are still searching for any trace of of Mr Rayadurgam.
“When the missing man’s family heard of the discovery they visited the marina and uncovered further personal items, including Mr Rayadurgam’s backpack and some items of clothing.” A report said.
The police say his disappearance was particularly concerning because there was “nothing to suggest Mr Rayadurgam was unhappy or unwell.”
They have asked “anyone with information about the case or anyone who saw anything suspicious around the Curran St end – under the Harbour Bridge – of Westhaven Marina is asked to contact Police immediately.”
Here’s the information they need, as if they don’t know already:
In all likelihood Mr Rayadurgam was yet another victim of racially-motivated foul play.

New Zealand the ONLY Country with “Child Abuse” Section on National News Headline
Reader KK wrote:
You realize in line with this topic, that New Zealand is the only country I know of that has “Child Abuse” as a regular section or topic in its national newspaper?
Seriously look about halfway down the page here – http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/headlines.cfm?c_id=1
And it is kept separate from “Crimes’ apparently because child abuse is either not considered a crime by the editors, or is so rampant that it merits its own category.
