Slap Happy New Zealand Tops OECD Chart, One Way or Another

Probably headed by a second cousin of  Dominique Gaston André Strauss-Kahn (aka the New York R*pper), the Paris based Organisation of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) says New Zealand is the 4th happiest among the 34 OECD countries!!!!

On a more serious note …

In a different report, entitled “Society at a Glance 2011 – OECD Social Indicators,” OECD identifies New Zealand as one of the TOP Ten countries where the gap between rich and poor has grown widest, another report said.

New Zealand is happiness, ‘War is peace, Freedom is slavery, Ignorance is strength’

Finally, a message to all Aucklanders:

Why don’t you take the rest of this month and all of June off, go way south and do some soul-searching?

I find the Kiwis tend to ignore the negative, because they are helpless to change all the bad things that exist here. Why dwell on matters that will never change? Ignoring the bad would tend to make people happy, however. It is a type of self programming. To always see a silver lining, even when rain’s coming through the holes in your roof. From a reading of the report, a high percentage of the indicators were self-reported and therefore not objective. Indices such as employment rate are artificially high because those seeking decent jobs leave for Australia in large numbers. Increasing numbers, in fact.

“A poll says New Zealand is one of the happiest countries in the world.
True, there is much the country and its people can be grateful for.
But how much are we blinded to reality.”

      “fairfactsmedia” how aptly named!
New Zealand was never meant to have a large population beyond what was needed to maintain the “fort.”

They’re happy like this bloke’s happy
