The American couple, married just five days ago in the US, were on their honeymoon when their car was rammed by a cement truck on Thursday.

The bridegroom, 31-year-old Kenneth Stithem, was killed in the crash and his 28-year-old wife Kirsten Steinke is in critical condition, awaiting surgery.

Her parents, who traveled from Colorado, are at their daughter’s bedside, according to Newstalk ZB.

On average, 3 foreigners are killed in New Zealand every 4 days.

Kenneth Stithem was probably the 2,553rd tourist killed in New Zealand since January 2000.

RIP!

The Air New Zealand “Bereavement Service”

So many tourists are killed in New Zealand that our national air carrier, Air New Z-land is now offering a special “bereavement service” for the victims’ families.

“They also singled out the service provided by Air New Zealand as part of their bereavement policy. From the moment both couples checked in at Los Angeles International Airport, Air New Zealand ensured they were “red tagged” right through to Auckland Airport and fast-tracked through Customs with the help of the New Zealand Police,” according to a report.

tourists who visit Rotorua should beware of Gas build up in hotel rooms (Rotorua City being a Geothermal plateau and extremely close to naturally occurring hotpools and geysers) not enough protection around the hotpools and geysers. the Gas that can buildup in Hotel rooms is not monitored and there have been many incidences of coverup because of the ‘Tourism industry protectionism’ that is prevalent in NZ. people have died but no-one is allowed to talk about it. who knows how many. best advice.. skip staying in Rotorua motels / hotels.

Tourists are continually given very false advice on what it is really like in NZ and it is not as safe as they are led to believe from the tourist brochures etc..

Thanks for writing. The coverup and ‘Tourism industry protectionism’ involve the filtering, hacking and censoring of this blog by google, wordpress and NZ government.

You may be interested to know that earthquake warnings posted on this blog over the past few years have been almost completely blocked to the public.

Our scientist friends who provide us with the warnings have also been censored. The following sheds more light on this. Be sure to read the last few lines posted at:

Just read that in total disbelief. It left me speechless. This is pure fascism. There’s obviously no freedom of information in your country.
