UNCHARACTERISTICALLY, police treating Jack’s death as suspicious!!
Israel Jack, 20, was found dead on Te Ngae Rd around 4.25am on Sunday, August 18. He was struck by at least two vehicles as he lay prone on the road, police said
He had been seen alive at the Caltex Te Ngae service station five minutes earlier, leaving a question unanswered as to how he covered 1.4km in that time, police said.
The police Defective in charge of the investigation has so far refused to say whether the victim was killed after being hit by vehicles or whether he had died beforehand.
His baseball cap was found on a fence post about 300m from his body and the police have no clue who put it there.
In another version of this story, a baseball “cap thought to belong to Israel Jack has been handed into police nearly three weeks after his death.”

Woman’s Body found in search for missing Canadian Tourists
Searchers looking for the missing Canadian couple Connor Hayes and Joanna Lam have recovered a woman’s body from a West Coast beach between Haast and Knights Point, which police believe it to be the body Joanna Lam, 24.
So far they have not seen any sign of her companion Connor Hayes, 25.
The couple went missing after their rented rickety campervan was hit by a slip and plunged off the road into the Haast River nine days ago.

At least 2,420 foreign students, tourists and new immigrants were Killed in NZ between January 2000 and 23 February 2012 [About 15,000 others seriously injured.]
During the 2010 – 2012 period, on average 3 foreigners were killed in New Zealand every 4 days.
[Thanks to Google, NZ govt. and WordPress, this kind of news is prevented from reaching the potential victims of NZ tourism so as NOT to spoil their holidays in this country by mundane inconveniences such as death and serious injuries !!]

The title of article posted below should have been
“How the police state has made two-thirds of young NZers suicidal”
Those of you who read this blog regularly may recall previous headlines like “NZers are among the happiest nation in the world [despite having the highest suicide rates in the world,]” and so forth…
As for the other one-third, they join the police force or the military, kill a few brown people at home or murder in cold blood a dozen women and kids in Iraq, Afghanistan … , and then commit suicide.
Here’s the article:

Nearly two-thirds of young New Zealanders are showing signs of depressed mood.
Recent results from the New Zealand Sovereign Wellbeing index have revealed the need to improve our wellbeing by encouraging a flourishing community.
University of Canterbury lecturer Tracy Clelland says the country rates very poorly compared with most European countries, particularly in the area of connecting with others in the neighbourhood.
“Things like more local events where people can come together, just making sure you knock on the door of the neighbour’s house, just making sure you know who your neighbours are.”
The theme for Mental Health Awareness Week next month is connecting with others.
