Thank you. He lived with me his whole life. He was a wonderful person, Son, friend and ..the most favorite grandchild… to his grand parents, Nancy and Richard FARRELL, of Marblehead, Ma. U.S.A.

He was such an amazing athlete at such a young age. He loved school sports. He had so many friends…guys and gals.

He died in a horrific fall, and was never found for 6 hours,… as the Receptionist, never looked at her monitirs, to the cameras from, Base back packers Youth Hostel.

There were cameras every where. But no attention ..TO THE MONITORS AS A NIGHT RECEPTIONIST…

WOULD THE RECEPTIONIST MONITOR HER OWN SON, IF he was at Base back packers ?? She must have been slleping on the job.

Hi Trish – the Moderators are truly sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine any pain greater than losing a loved one, especially a child.
Unfortunately, life is cheap in New Zealand. Most NZers are genetically dispossessed to not consider life as being precious, especially that of foreigners.
At least 4,500 overseas visitors, international students, foreign workers, recent emigrants and refugees have lost their lives and more than 30,000 others seriously injured in New Zealand between Jan 2000 and Jan 2018.
Each loss of life is tragic and unnecessary; many of the fatalities are avoidable.
Once again, I send you our deepest condolences for the sadness, utterly senseless and tragic loss of your beloved son.
Please consult a couple of local attorneys, who specialize in wrongful deaths, and show them the content of this blog.
          With love and prayers,
          Edmund
