How much do police car crashes cost the taxpayers?

Posted by te2ataria on October 30, 2015

Police admit blame for 62 percent of police car crashes in the past year

Police staff were to blame for about 500 out of 810 police car crashes in the 12 months to until June 2015.

Official documents obtained by RNZ show police were involved in 810 crashes from June 2014 until June 2015.

“In 469 of the crashes, the incidents were recorded as “damage only” to the police cars involved.”

Police Association president, Greg O’Connor, has pinned the blame on a rise in more offenders “having a go” at fleeing police, according to report.

The report did not disclose number of drivers and/or passengers killed or seriously injured as a result police car chases.

There are about 3,100 police cars on the roads, according to a report.

How do corrupt judges sleep at night?

Posted by te2ataria on October 27, 2015

Qatar’s ambassador to Belgium, Sheikh Al Thani, and his wife walk free despite 19 negligent deaths

Qatar’s Court of Appeal today has quashed the conviction of five individuals, [two of them members of the country’s Al Thani ruling family,] who were convicted of negligence in the deadly May 2012 Villaggio Mall fire, but found the company that owns the shopping center guilty of involuntary manslaughter, according to a report.

The blaze killed 19 people, including 13 children, inside the Gympanzee daycare, located on the upper floor of the mall.

“Some family members of the victims who attended court today stormed out while the presiding judge Abdalrahman al-Sharafi took an unprecedented five hours to read out his verdict,” the report said.

He cleared each defendant of numerous charges, but appeared to be blaming the deceased staff of Gympanzee for the disaster, suggesting that a partially blocked emergency exit should not have prevented their escape.

“In the case of a fire, people don’t move slowly. If there is a hurdle in front of you, you (pick up) a child and jump and get out,” the judge was quoted as saying.
weekes triplets
Lillie, Jackson and Wilshire Weekes were tragically killed in May 2012 at Gympanzee daycare centre in Doha. Qatar’s ambassador to Belgium, Sheikh Ali Bin Jassim Bin Al Thani, a member of the country’s ruling Al Thani family, and his wife, owners of the Gympanzee centre, as well as three others, who had initially received a six-year sentence for causing death by negligence, were cleared of all charges.

Martin and Jane Weekes, The parents of 2-year-old Kiwi triplets who were tragically killed in the fire, said, “the pain they are feeling is ‘indescribable’ after learning the convictions of five people responsible for the blaze have been thrown out.”

“The pain for all of the families is indescribable. Today we remember the 19 innocent lives lost, including 13 beautiful children. We are grieving for our beautiful children. And we are angry.

“Not one person has taken responsibility for this crime. The charge has been reduced to corporate manslaughter. This is a travesty of justice,” Mr Weekes said.

[It’s incredible how anyone could open a daycare center on the top floor of a shopping mall!]

Filipino expat Louie Aban, whose 29-year-old wife Maribel Orosco, an accountant, was killed in the fire spoke to Doha News outside the court:

“Why is the court blaming the dead? This just proves to us that Qatar is for Qataris only.”

Body pulled from Auckland Harbour confirmed as Indian Student’s

Posted by te2ataria on October 22, 2015

Many Indians [and Asians] have been killed in New Zealand since this blog started

Auckland City Police have confirmed that the body pulled from Auckland harbour on Sunday 18 October was that of missing Indian student Mandeep Singh.

Mr Singh’s death is now the subject of a Coroner’s enquiry, said police. [But isn’t that just a formality because the police has already decided what happened to the victim?]

Mr Singh was last seen by friends at 3am on the previous Sunday after leaving the Bungalow 8 Bar in Viaduct Harbour, according to the police and media reports.

Police had stated on Friday they didn’t believe Mr Singh’s disappearance to be suspicious.

Pigs can fly in “creative” New Zealand!

Posted by te2ataria on October 20, 2015

sent by an angry reader in the “Sewage City

How many of you really believe this sh*t?

First, New Zealand ranked 9th in the world for happiness, despite having the highest suicide rates in the world.

Now, New Zealand is being flogged as “third most creative country in the world.”
“How?” I hear you ask.

“The world-famous ‘Kiwi ingenuity‘ has been recognised in a global creativity index that ranks economic growth and sustainable prosperity.”

Who’s behind this creative farce?

“The data, collected by the Martin Prosperity Institute, acts as a measure for ‘advanced economic growth’ based on what the institute calls ‘the three Ts of economic development’ – talent, technology and tolerance,” according to a report.

Would “the three Ts of economic development” still mean anything IF the “advanced economic growth” was entirely spurred by the “Banking Rubber Barrons…?”

What about talent?

Australia leads the world talent table.

Is that why they’re deporting all the kiwis?

And the technology?

South Korea is the world leader in technology, followed by [can’t contain the radioactive sh*t] Japan.

And New Zealand?

She is seventh.

Really?

“New Zealand also topped a table for global racial and ethnic tolerance, with 93 per cent of Kiwis surveyed saying their city is a good place for racial and ethnic minorities.”

Has anyone asked the racial minorities why we kill so many Indian students?

More Indian students killed in NZ than in any other country, without so much as a single protest

To Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India:

Will you have stayed this quiet, dead silent, if so many Indians were killed in Pakistan, you hypocrite? More steam rises from a pile of compost, than your government. How much longer do you intend to suck it up to your old colonial masters? Come on, do something! Say something! It’s high time to show if you have b*lls.

How will NZ cope with 1,000 additional hardened criminals?

1,000 Criminals could be deported back to NZ – PM

About 1,000 New Zealanders could be deported from Australia as their new immigration policy kicks in, NZ Prime Minister has said.

“Those people are New Zealand citizens that have a right to come back, whatever the number is,” said John “Don” Key.

He has failed to explain how the country will cope with an influx of hardened criminals.

Labour’s foreign affairs spokesperson told Radio NZ that the government had been preparing for months for an influx of more than 1,000 criminal from Australia.

“I am surprised that the government hasn’t made this public because the government has been negotiating with their Australian counterparts across five or six different Ministries, including Police, Justice, Immigration and Health – to try and work out how they are going to manage the return of these people and a thousand must have been the number that came up amongst them.”

Australian government decided in December to detain and deport non-Australians who have incurred a prison sentence of a year or longer.

“As a group we are more employed as Australians as a group, we earn more than average Australians as a group, we are actually incarcerated at a lower rate than Australians as a group. New Zealanders are lifters in Australia, they are not leaners,” said the Don.

But, this is NOT about “lifting” or “leaning.” It’s to do with committing serious crimes, and then re-offending.

Body in a Rotorua hot pool “unexplained”

Bay of Plenty of Deaths: a tourist reportedly discovered the body of an adult in a hot pool at Rotorua’s Kuirau Park Tuesday afternoon and alerted the police, said Senior Sergeant Karl Konlechner.

Earlier police had said getting the body out of the pool would be very difficult.

However, Rotorua police area commander was uncertain there was even a body in the pool in the first place (!)

“We are yet to confirm that there is a body in the pool, but we are working on that assumption,” a report quoted the Rotorua police area commander Inspector Bruce Horne as saying.
