NEWS BLACKOUT continues in New Zealand – DAY 48

Road Fatalities and Tourist Deaths: DAY 48 of latest NEWS BLACKOUT campaign in NZ

Today was also the day thousands of angry protesters shut down intersections in Auckland’s CBD to “send a message” against the TPPA signing.

Trade ministers from the 12 countries joined in the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement (TPPA) today signed the biggest trade deal in history in Auckland, despite the massive public outrage. [What have the people got to do with issues of national interest?]

Council Trade union secretary Sam Huggard said the government did not consider people in the TPPA plan, reports Erin Speedy.
“They didn’t want us to say we want an end to corporate greed.”

“We don’t want them growing up in a country where the government is scared of every movement they make because they’re scared they’re going to p*** off some overseas corporates,” he said. http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/politics/76517301/TPPA-signing-Live-coverage-from-Auckland-as-trade-deal-signed

… and the day when

Our corrupt PM chickened out of attending Waitangi celebrations… “I’m certainly not running scared, I’ve made a commitment to go every year and I have.”

“I can’t go and I won’t go with a gagging order on me,” he said.

Large-scale protests around the country today in response to the Government signing the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA) also meant concerns about potential riots and protests had put him and his security staff in a “dangerous position”.  http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/politics/76578090/ngapuhi-elder-warns-there-will-be-trouble-if-john-key-attends-te-tii-marae

Meanwhile, Japan’s Yamaguchi prefecture began marketing itself as “the new Australia” or more precisely as “the fake Australia” since the two places have absolutely nothing in common!  http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-02-03/japan-prefecture-marketing-itself-as-the-new-australia/7137152

Another story of tourists wronged…

Tourists leave NZ after campervan hell

American tourist David DiMichele and his wife spent “almost US$4,000 (NZ$6,016) getting here, and then another US$2,800 (NZ$4,211) on the campervan for 29 days.”

Predictably, their rental vehicle broke down! [See blog content for defective rental cars and unsafe sports equipment.] “Does it leave a sour taste in my mouth? Absolutely,” said the tourist.   http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=11584696

… and the “murder-mystery” deepened…

Rosemary Dey, 31, was found dead in her Newtown flat on Tuesday night. Police say her death is unexplained.

On October 24 last year, police put out a plea for help to find Dey, saying she had last been seen in Christchurch the day before and they had “concerns for her wellbeing”.

Police reported two days later that she had been found.  http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/crime/76569925/woman-found-dead-in-newtown-flat-named-as-rosemary-dey

Now, back to the road toll secrecy stuff…

Another reminder “fat Aussie c***s” are above the law!

Cop acquitted after shooting man during AOS callout!

The “fat Aussie c***” charged with “accidentally” shooting a man as he lay handcuffed on the ground on August 16, 2013 has been acquitted of careless use of a firearm. [You would be a fat fool, if you expected a different outcome!]

He was among an 11-strong squad called to a house the man shared with his mother, after she became concerned at her son’s behaviour and reported that there was a gun in the house.

After the man was arrested, he did not resist, had his hands handcuffed behind his back, and was lying face down on the ground when the officer accidentally fired his M4 Bushmaster rifle.

The shot man, whose name is suppressed, was hospitalised in a critical condition but later [allegedly] recovered.

The cop has been the subject of an “Independent Police Conduct Authority investigation and an internal code of conduct inquiry,” however, the outcome of the investigation won’t be released publicly.

His lawyer had argued that police had failed both him and the victim by failing to provide sufficient training before putting him in a frontline role, according to a report. http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/crime/70651116/Officer-acquitted-after-accidentally-shooting-man-during-AOS-raid
