Fatal crash in Pawarenga, Northland

At least one person was killed in a crash near Pawarenga in the Far North at about 4pm today, police said. As usual, no details of the victim, or the cause of crash are available/released.

This is only the second road fatality report released in five days.

  • Blog estimate: About 900 people are killed on NZ roads each year. [Most probably] up to 255 road fatalities have occurred in NZ since 1 January 2016.

Today is DAY 118 of the latest TOURISTS or truth? campaign in NZ

To protect the tourism industry, about two-thirds of the road fatalities in New Zealand go unreported by our political police, and unrecorded by Ministry of Transport [“Minitru”.]

Serious Road Crashes

Based even on the government’s heavily manipulated data, an average of 25 crashes occur on NZ roads each day, resulting in 31 reportable injuries including 14 hospitalizations (8 serious injuries) and at least one fatality.

That is 700 crashes in last four weeks (since March 17), resulting in 868 reportable injuries including 392 hospitalizations (224 serious injuries), and at least 28 fatalities.

However, no more than about 40 or so serious crashes have been reported over this period.

What happened to the other 660 or so crashes that have occurred over the past 4 weeks???

There’s clearly a reporting ban [also] on serious crashes in effect. Police would otherwise be unable to manipulate the road toll, if all of the serious crashes were to be reported.
