Boy, 8, killed in Napier fatal crash
A child was killed in a car crash in Napier after the car he was in collided into the back of another car that was sitting in a line of stationary traffic.
The young victim’s mother and 5-year-old sister were taken to Hawke’s Bay Hospital, both in serious conditions.
“The occupants of the SUV that was hit, a mother in her 20s and two children aged 11 and 11 months, were also taken to hospital with various injuries.”
Fatal Crash in Canterbury
A fatal crash occurred in mid-Canterbury this afternoon. Police have not revealed how many people were killed in the crash involving a car and a truck on State Highway 1, near Chertsey.
Fatal Crash: Great South Road, Horotiu, Waikato
A single vehicle fatal crash on Great South Road, Horotiu, Waikato occurred at approximately 01:15 hours today. The Toyota Cavalier had been travelling north when the car went out of control and the vehicle rolled. One of the two female occupants [possibly Asian tourists] was pronounced deceased at the scene; the second was taken to Waikato hospital and treated for serious injuries, police said.
Fatal crash in Matamata on Monday
The young American tourist killed in the violent crash on SH29 at Matamata has been identified as Donna Gou, 22, [a Chinese American] from Texas.
Miss Guo’s parents were still in a critical condition in Waikato Hospital, said a Waikato policewoman.
