Not Shot by Police – they are disappointed

Police ‘disappointed’ as three shot by the ducks

Police say the shooting of three hunters on the opening day of duck hunting season is “disappointing”.

The first incident happened at 7.45am when a man, in his 30s, was shot in the hand. The man was flown to Christchurch Hospital from Lismore.

Only 15 minutes later, a 55-year-old man was hit in the eye by a shotgun pellet [in] Akitio on the east coast of the lower North Island.

At 9.20am a 9-year-old boy was shot in the foot at a rural home near Inglewood in Taranaki. http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/79731122/Police-disappointed-as-three-shot-on-opening-day-of-duck-hunting-season

[Defective] Car goes out of control, crashes into Waikato River, one “believed” dead while second occupant escapes

Counties Manukau – “One person is believed dead after a car crashed into the Waikato River at Mercer this afternoon,” police said. [The dichotomy between the dead and the living is often a difficult concept for our police to fathom. On the other hand…]
“Police were called to Riverside Road Mercer near Roose Road at about 1:30 pm after the car went into the river.
“A passenger managed escaped [here we go again, read “managed to escape”] from the car however the driver did not get out. [So the driver is only “believed dead”, instead of being dead, possibly because this latest victim of “dubious death” was earmarked for statistical resurrection by police.]

“The car is now fully submerged and Police are using a boat to stablize [the elite police are trained to spell “stabilise” in the same way they pronounce the word] the car and are attempting to recover the driver.” http://www.police.govt.nz/news/updates/41697
