A former Child Youth and Family caregiver who sexually assaulted at least eight victims has been jailed for 22 years, with a minimum non-parole period of only 10 years.
Frank Walmsley abused eight victims while he ran a Child Youth and Family home in Oamaru between 1995 and 2000. He also abused many others while working as a life coach from 2005 until 2012. His youngest victim was just 10 years old. He sentenced in the High Court in Timaru.

Kelly, 22, admitted paying an Auckland woman $300 to send him video of her sexually violating a 15-month-old boy. He pleaded guilty on Friday to 16 charges including making an objectionable publication, 10 of possession of an objectionable publication, and one of sexual violation by unlawful sexual connection.
“The woman, Krystal Harvey, 23, of Auckland, was originally sentenced in the Manukau District Court to eight months’ home detention and 100 hours of community work, but after an appeal by the Crown, a jail term of three years and nine months was imposed.”
