Anzac Heroes named Margaret Mahy Book of the Year in Wellington
A book in honour of the sacrifice of Anzac soldiers has been named Margaret Mahy Book of the Year.
Anzac Heroes, by Maria Gill and illustrated by Wellingtonian Marco Ivancic, won the Margaret Mahy Book of the Year award at the Book Awards for Children and Young Adults, held at Circa Theatre, Wellington, on Monday evening.
The book covers the frontline experiences of 30 Anzac soldiers who served in the two world wars.

And where are we now? A country run by crooks with dual nationality, and policed by “Morlocks” who murder our teenagers.
