Police, NZ Post and Parliament insist on recruiting people with spelling disability
Image of the day: “This box is permentaly closed due to irrepairable damage.”
According to NZ Post Blenheim area manager Grant Sinclair, the box was hit by a car and the door was bent beyond repair.
“Another reason for reconsidering this location was that the box had been targeted twice by vandals in the past year when fires were set in the box and mail was burnt,” he said.
“NZ Post complains about a drop-off in mail but do everything to discourage people from sending out their post,” said Bill Cox, 85, who is now faced with a 50-minute round trip to send a letter.
