The 4-year-old boy who was killed while playing at Angels (!) Childcare in Takapuna, Auckland has been farewelled in India.

“Family spokesman Joseph Devasia told the Herald this afternoon Aldrich’s parents, mother Gisha Viju and father Viju Vareed, had travelled to India with their 2-year-old daughter Andrea on Tuesday.”

The school caretaker, who has been awarded name suppression (!), says he removed the toilet door handle just before lunchtime (!) to repair the lock.
