Two people have died in a microlight crash at Kaka Point in the Clutha District this morning. The crash happened shortly after 10am on Sunday 2 April, 2017.

Diver killed in Wairarapa
The body of a male diver has been recovered from water in a remote area of south Wairarapa. Police were called to Tora at 11.47 am today.  It’s understood the male was diving with a companion. Due to limited (!?) communications in the area, there is no further information available.

“The intersection of Puketaha Road and Taylor Road in Gordonton, Hamilton is closed following a serious crash. The crash occurred just before 2pm this afternoon and involved a car and a motorbike. The motorcyclist received critical injuries and has been taken to Waikato Hospital. The driver of the car was uninjured.”

In a serious crash on Killarney Road, Hamilton, which happened at 6.15pm this evening, when a car has hit a power pole, the driver received serious injuries and was taken to Waikato Hospital in a critical condition, police said.
