NASA’s Wanaka super duper pressure balloon (aka, the Condom) has crashed just over a week into its anticipated 100-day journey.

“The data strongly suggests the balloon has developed a leak [just three days after its lunch.] This is an unfortunate development in our test flight, but we’re gaining some important data from this mission that will apply to future flights,” said the wasteful agency’s balloon incompetent programme director, Debbie Fairbrother.
