Attorney-General Chris Finlayson, who has just woken up from his Zombie state hibernation, has told all councils to take note of the official findings [or else what?] of an initial report that has criticised Hastings District Council and Hawke’s Bay Regional Council for failing to safeguard the town’s drinking water.

“All local authorities need immediately – not wait until Stage 2, immediately – check their processes. There is nothing more fundamental to the citizens of this country than clean water.”
