One motorist was killed and another is in a critical condition in a serious crash on Mill Road, near Ranfurly Road, Alfriston, which occurred earlier this afternoon, police reported.

A 43-year-old man was killed and two others have sustained critical injuries after a car rolled on Ninety Mile Beach near the Waipapakauri boat ramp Friday night.

“Two people sustained critical injuries – a 27-year-old man, who has been flown to Whangarei Hospital; and 24-year-old woman, who has been taken by ambulance to Kaitaia Hospital.

“A fourth occupant of the car, a 21-year-old woman, sustained minor injuries, police reported.
