Peppered with stiffs

A body was discovered at a rural location north of Dunedin around 8pm yesterday, police said. The cause of death is unknown/undisclosed.

“On Lock Street, St Clair, Dunedin, a residential property is currently being examined relating to a missing person reported to Police on February 5.

“At this stage Police cannot confirm whether the two incidents are linked.”

“A body has been recovered from the scene of a serious crash in Waiotahe, near Opotiki, earlier today.”

“Emergency services were advised around 11.10am that a truck and trailer had gone off State Highway 2 and into a river near Toone and Ruatuna roads.

“The body was recovered by the Police Dive Squad about 10.10pm.”
