Fatal Crash on State Highway 35, Opotiki – Name Release

Wednesday, 24 April 2019 – 2:53pm
Bay of Plenty [of Deaths]

The man who was  killed in a single vehicle crash on State Highway 35, Opotiki on Tuesday 16 April was Arnold Stephen Maraki who lived in Kapiti Coast, Wellington, police said.

The victim’s nationality has not been disclosed by police.

“Police attempted to stop the vehicle a few minutes prior but it failed to stop, fleeing from Police before it crashed.
