Missing boatie found dead in Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown

The body of a man has been recovered from Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown, police said.

They believe it is that of 46-year-old Matthew Charles Duncan, of Bluff, who went missing from a cabin boat, Sundance 2, on Lake Wakatipu on Sunday 30 June.

The search for the missing boatie on Lake Hauroko has been suspended indefinitely.

Police and partners have searched the lake multiple times since the boat was reported missing on 31 May, however the missing man has not been located.

“The boat and its two occupants [named as Michael Goodson and Rosemary Spiewak] a man and a woman in their 60s, were reported missing on Friday 31 May, although reports suggest the pair may have gone out on the lake up to a week earlier.

Body of a man was discovered at a stream in Bothamley Park Saturday morning. As usual, police are not treating the death as suspicious.

THIRD BODY found in Taranaki school ceek on Sunday

Young man found dead man found in Taranaki school creek
The body of a man in his mid-20s was discovered in a stream at the rear of Devon Intermediate School New Plymouth. The death remains unexplained and so police are treating it as a homicide.

Child Homicide

Name release in relation to homicide investigation in Auckland
The child who passed away in Starship hospital on Saturday 29 June 2019 was Malcolm Robert Bell, aged 16 months of Auckland.

“Police and his family have concerns for his safety and welfare.”

Saturday, 6 July 2019 – 1:45pm – Bay of Plenty [of Deaths]

Jessica Lurrel-Morgan, has been reported missing. She was last seen yesterday about 8am at an Omokoroa property.

“A previous release stated Jessica Lurrel-Morgan’s hair is currently dark brown/black, not blonde. However this is incorrect and her hair is in fact blonde.”

    The woman seems to have used the stupid police for publicity!

    “A person who went missing in Omokoroa has been found safe today.
    “The woman was reported missing on Friday 5 July at about 8am.”
