Young Korean National Killed in Arthur’s Pass area
Frozen body of missing Korean man found
Police have recovered the body of a man, who had been reported missing in Arthur’s Pass area, earlier this afternoon. The victim had sustained horrific injuries in a fall down a steep bluff before freezing to death.
“The man, a 24-year-old Korean national, had become separated from a walking companion and was reported missing late yesterday afternoon.”

In addition to multiple fatalities, at least 34 people have sustained life-threatening or serious injuries on NZ roads since June 30. However, police have reported only two of the fatalities over the 8-day period.
