Mystery surrounds body found in Auckland Domain

Police say body found in the Auckland Domain is not suspicious, even before arriving at the scene.  [Is it their sixth sense, or a frigging crystal ball?]

Three joggers found the man’s body about 50m from Lower Domain Dr, face down in the creek on the edge of a path winding through the park.

“Police are conducting enquiries to gather more information to establish the circumstances,” a spokesperson said.

“At this stage the death is not considered to be suspicious,” police said.

  • [Readers will note that cause of death cannot be established by just looking at the body. Only a detailed autopsy and toxicology test, which would take many days to carry out, could conceivably determine the actual cause of death. –Moderator]

One Response to “More murder mysteries reported by NZ police”

  1. JB said

Statement on behalf of Brenda Reuben, mother of Jasmine Wilson: No one should have to see a family member in the state we saw Jasmine in. She was unrecognisable.

I’m speaking out to appeal to the people who know what has happened to my daughter, to ask them to please come forward and help.

Our family is grieving and we are desperately hoping for closure.

Jasmine was a loved mother, daughter, sister and granddaughter. Her family and friends can’t understand why this has happened to her.

We know Jasmine was dropped at Whanganui Hospital with the severe injuries that led to her death, but we still don’t know how she sustained those injuries.

No one should have to see a family member in the state we saw Jasmine in. She was unrecognisable.

There are people who know what happened to her.

We are pleading with you to come forward and do the right thing.

Anyone who has information, no matter how small you think it might be, please get in touch with Police.
