Lincoln Fatal Crash Victim Named

Teenager killed in fatal crash in Canterbury was 13-year-old Jyren Estrella, police said.

Police can confirm the name of the young man who died following a crash at the intersection of Ellesmere Road and Tancreds Road, Lincoln on Saturday 14 December.
He was 13-year-old Jyren Estrella who lived in Christchurch.

Have you seen Alexander Gaitzsch?
Police are asking for assistance to locate 24-year-old German tourist Alexander Fabrice Gaitzsch, who has been reported missing.
Alexander was last seen in Auckland on Sunday December 1 after arriving in New Zealand.
He has brown hair, is around 170cm tall and of a slim build.
It is thought Alexander maybe in the Waikato river trails area.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Police on 105.

He was Shanan Bruce Nelson, 28, of Waimate.

Police are at the scene of a serious crash on Hillsborough Road, Hillsborough, Auckland.
Emergency services were alerted to the two car crash between Goodall Street and Richardson Road at around 5:35am.

Police can now name the person killed in a crash on SH 30, Tikitere on Saturday 14 December.
She was Hsiu Hua Cheng (known as Sheila), aged 51, of Whakatane.
Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones.
An investigation into the circumstances of the crash is ongoing.
Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the crash and has not yet spoken to us.

Tokomaru Bay homicide investigation
A post-mortem examination will be conducted today to ascertain how a Tokomaru Bay man died as part of the ongoing homicide investigation that continues in the coastal settlement.
The 48-year-old man was found in the burning lounge of his home at around 2am on Sunday morning.
Police are treating the death as a homicide.

Serious crash on SH30 in Rotoma
Emergency services are responding to a serious crash on State Highway 30 in Rotoma.
The crash involving a truck and a car was reported at 5.13pm.
Early reports indicate there are multiple injuries.
