Violent Crimes and Pollution in New Zealand: UP!

UP Goes the No. of Violent Crimes in Poxy New Zealand!

146 violent crimes each day [up from 130 per day in 2007]

Police crime statistics [though heavily massaged] for the year ending June 30 revealed:

  • 11 percent jump in violent crime in New Zealand
  • 53,436 violent incidents in the same 12 months period [5,878 MORE violent incidents than previous 12 months ]
  • 52 percent increase in recorded youth crime compared with 8 years ago up from 3,301 to 5,029 violent offences (Source)

Meanwhile thanks to Fonterra [yes, the same people involved in Fonterra-Sanlu tainted baby formula corporate manslaughter case in China,] New Zealand’s waterways are more of a sewage dump than they were 5 years ago.

The Forest & Bird and Fish & Game reported that the Dairying and Clean Streams Accord, which was signed in 2003 by [corporate homicide agents] Fonterra and the [criminal] government of New Zealand, “had not only failed to improve water quality but … rivers and streams had worsened.”

The “Accord” was aimed at improving the quality of New Zealand waterways by reducing the huge volumes of dairy effluent and nutrients currently entering them.

The water quality in rivers and streams of Waikato region, which is home to about 50 percent of the country’s dairy farms, has substantially deteriorated. The high level of bacterial pollution has made the water dangerous for stock to drink, and for people to swim.  (Sources include NZPA.)

Tainted New Zealand Wine Rejected by Germans

Rejected Wine ‘Auctioned’ in New Zealand Supermarkets

The following excerpts are from a news article in Sunday Star Times:

Rejected wine going cheap

“A New Zealand wine rejected by European buyers because of its high metal content is being sold at knock-down prices in New World and Pak’n Save supermarkets.

“Last year, Martinborough-based Te Kairanga winery had a 4000-case shipment of its 2006 pinot noir returned after its German buyer discovered the wine’s copper content exceeded European standards.

“Copper sulphate or copper citrate is often added to wine to eliminate sulphurous odours produced during fermentation, but in this instance too much was added.” Source

Fonterra: 43 percent Liable, 100 percent Moral Cowards!

Posted by te2ataria on September 20, 2008

Update Sept 22-08: Sanlu Was First Banned in 2004, then Reinstated

submitted by a reader

Fonterra directors have committed corporate manslaughter (homicide).

Are the moral cowards at Fonterra now hiding behind the Crown trying to avoid liability for corporate manslaughter by putting the blame on New Zealand Embassy whose moral cowards are protected by diplomatic immunity?

Could it be that the Chinese authorities are so stupid they might buy into this “he said, she said” farce?

If the Chinese government were free of gangsters and racketeers (wishful thinking),  they would charge the  Sanlu-Fonterra joint venture board with corporate manslaughter, allow class action against the joint venture and its directors in China and New Zealand,  and  disqualify all persons and companies involved in the deadly corporate negligence case, especially the Fonterra directors, from doing business ever again in their country.

The Facts:

  1. The Sanlu-Fonterra Board knew about the poisoned baby formula as early as first week in March, 2008.
  2. The resident SIS/Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade agents in China, New Zealand Embassy in Beijing, MFAT HQ in Wellington, Trade Minister Phil Goff and PM Helen Clark knew about the incident within days of Sanlu-Fonterra receiving their first complaints, possibly by as early as March 5, 2008.

Here’s a new version of their cock and bull story:

NZ Embassy waited for more Sanlu info

Saturday, 20 September 2008 – http://www.stuff.co.nz/4700010a11.html

New Zealand’s embassy in Beijing was first told by Fonterra in mid-August about reports of contaminated milk making babies sick, but lacked the information to make an official report, the foreign affairs ministry said today.

Green Party politicians say Fonterra should not have sat for six weeks on the knowledge that its Chinese joint venture, Sanlu, had sold milk powder that poisoned babies, killing four children and making thousands sick.

On August 14, Fonterra China gave an informal indication to a New Zealand embassy official about reports of a small number of sick children, and that 43-per cent Fonterra owned Sanlu appeared to have been receiving milk contaminated with melamine.

Five days later, Fonterra China sought advice from the embassy about how the Chinese government would respond to notification of a local health issue, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) said today.

The embassy advised that the Chinese central government would normally be informed by local authorities.

On August 22, Fonterra advised the embassy that Sanlu had a problem with contaminated product, and that Fonterra had urged local authorities for a full product recall.

Over the next week, the embassy and Fonterra continued discussions about how the problem was being handled, with Fonterra providing confidential information including talks with Sanlu and local authorities.

“Notwithstanding some information gaps, the ambassador decided to inform the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Wellington of the situation as he understood it,” the ministry said.

The ambassador told the ministry that Fonterra appeared to have a sensitive problem, and the embassy would report formally when it was confident about the information it was receiving.

The embassy sent a report to the ministry which was received on September 1 and Trade Minister Phil Goff met MFAT officials the next day and sought further information and a briefing paper for ministers as soon as possible.

A formal report was finalised on September 5 and provided to key ministers that weekend, with Prime Minister Helen Clark directing officials to attend a special meeting of ministers on September 8.

“At the direction of ministers, instructions were given to the embassy in Beijing to contact relevant central government agencies in China to convey the views and concerns of the New Zealand Government.”

On September 9, the ambassador and other embassy staff called relevant agencies in China.

There had been daily updates and exchanges between the embassy and officials in Wellington since then, and New Zealand remained in close contact with the Chinese government, MFAT said.

“New Zealand has made a general offer of assistance if Chinese authorities needed anything from us – they have not requested anything at this point.”

The Chinese government has faced panicked parents and public dismay since officials and the Sanlu Group, the nation’s biggest maker of infant milk powder, last week revealed babies were sick with kidney stones and complications from drinking toxic powder.

Fonterra has said its directors were first told of the poisoned infant formula on August 2, and were unable to persuade Sanlu and local officials to make a public recall. It did not speak out publicly because it thought working within the Chinese system was the best way to get the poisoned product off the market.

A nationwide check has found melamine contamination in dairy products ran wider than the tainted milk powder that has sparked a widening scandal, with nearly 10 per cent of samples from China’s three top dairy companies found to be tainted.

Global Health Alert Update: New Zealand Bird Flu

Posted by te2ataria on September 19, 2008

The low-grade bird flu virus in New Zealand ducks could mutate into “deadly” virus: Researcher

Previously you read:

A Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF) employee, Dr van Halderen, claims that they have only found the LPAI H5N virus in the birds, which is not the same as the H5N1 killer virus which spreads much quicker and is known to cross-species jump into humans.

The MAF mercenary “scientist” added:

“MAF Biosecurity New Zealand animal response team manager Dr Andre van Halderen said it was the first time the low-pathogenicity avian influenza H5N1 strain had been recorded in New Zealand.”

We found the statement issued by MAF Biosecurity New Zealand as sloppy science and factually incorrect, and said:

The Moderators do NOT consider the NZ MAF “assurance” reassuring!

Today an Australian research scientist said:

[Excerpts are from a story by NZPA: “NZ bird flu could mutate into more serious virus – Researcher“]

“An Australian researcher says it is theoretically possible that the low-grade bird flu virus detected in wild mallard ducks in New Zealand could mutate into a more serious form of the virus.

“Professor Gregor Tannock told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation that the virus could pose a threat to New Zealand poultry “if it mutates from low pathogenic to high pathogenic”.

“Prof Tannock, who is studying bird flu at the MacFarlane Burnet Institute for Medical Research and Public Health in Melbourne , told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation the virus was probably present in many more estuaries than those where it was found.

“Both the infected ducks were found near Invercargill, one at an estuary 2km west of the city and one at Roslyn Bush, following a surveillance programme in February that tested six other sites throughout the country. Invercargill was the only site with infected ducks when the findings were confirmed this week. Now Australian poultry owners are being warned to step up their own biosecurity checks in the wake of the discovery.

“Australian poultry owners should ensure wild waterbirds cannot access poultry feed or water and should limit contact between wild waterbirds and poultry, Biosecurity Queensland’s chief veterinary officer Ron Glanville told AAP.

“‘This is just a commonsense, precautionary measure,’ Dr Glanville said.”

We find the Australian researcher’s explanation about the possibility of virus mutation wholly plausible!

Teenage tourists subjected to 2-hour sex assault

    Saturday August 30, 2008

A man forced his way into the campervan of two teenage tourists north of Gisborne, New ‘Rapeland,’ early yesterday and subjected the pair to a two-hour sexual assault.

The young girls were parked at a lay-by next to the beach near the sports club at Tokomaru Bay when the attack happened about 1am.

Detective Sergeant Kevin Ford said the man forced his way in and subjected them to a number of indecencies over a two-hour period.

Police are now hunting a man the teenage girls describe as being dark-skinned and fat, thought to be in his 30s and around 1.8m tall.

They said he had a beard and mustache and thick eyebrows.

The man’s car, a light-colored old-style saloon, was parked next to the campervan during the attack.

The victims’ black Sony Ericsson cellphone was also stolen during the attack.

Mr Ford said there were a large number of people at the Tokomaru Bay Sports Club on Friday night and he is hoping that someone might have information which could help them track down the attacker.

The man is being sought for assault and sexual violation.

Brave NZ Soldier Breaks Young Woman’s Jaw

Jawbreaker: Another Sample from NZ Thugs Army

A brave New Zealand Soldier formerly from Burnham Military Camp, punched an 18-year-old woman in the face in central Christchurch, New Zealand, knocking her unconscious.

The victim, Terri Nothnagel, 18, of Burnside, suffered a fractured jaw, swelling and concussion. “I’m still suffering from blurred speech. I’ve got very disrupted sleep, having bad dreams and waking up in sweats,” she said.

“I can’t eat. Everything has to be blended up. It hurts to talk, but if I take enough medication it subsides the pain a bit. You don’t know how much you use your jaw until something like this happens. The drugs are also having side-effects.”

Nothnagel was walking through a shopping mall with seven male friends when she heard yelling and swearing behind her.

“I turned around and there was this guy swinging at everyone. We saw him back my friend against the wall,” she said. “I stood to the side of him and told him to calm down. As soon as I said that he turned around and stepped up and punched me. I spun around a few times then hit the ground pretty hard. Then he started running.”

“I was in town with seven guys and I thought I was safe. What is safe? I just don’t know any more,” Nothnagel said.

This’s how they train an “effective” military force, folks! The army is no place for sissies! They train rabid psychopathic rapists, killers and assassins to let loose on women and children, Polynesians and Asians and all other “colored” and “2nd class” races.

When he is through with NZ thugs military, the psychopath will no doubt join New Zealand’s scumbag police force!

    New Zealand’s Sewage Contaminated Beaches

Dunedin City Council reported earlier that they had closed local beaches because water quality tests showed elevated harmful bacteria levels at St Kilda, St Clair and Middle beaches.

People are strongly advised against swimming, surfing, paddling even visiting these beaches.

Strong winds and sea currents regularly sweep large sewage plumes “towards shore from an outfall at Lawyer’s Head on the south coast of the Otago Peninsula at the eastern end of St Kilda Beach.” News reports said.

In the region’s other major contamination incidents recently the same beaches were found to be highly contaminated with harmful bacteria.
