Mount Cook Claims Yet Another Foreign Climber

Swedish national Magnus Kastengren, 32, reported to be an experienced climber, was killed when he plummeted 600m to his death on Aoraki Mt Cook Sunday morning, according to APNZ.

“He’s basically fallen off the main ridge of Mt Cook, so it’s very steep terrain,” said Senior Constable Brent Swanson of Lake Tekapo police, in perfect English.

Both the weather and climbing conditions were good at the time, according to a report.

“The pair had been skiing and traversing near the lower summit, at an elevation of about 3700m, when the man fell down the mountain’s main ridge.”

The police finally revealed the climbers age and nationality on Monday.

Mr Kastengren was the third person (second foreigner) killed within a week climbing mountains in New Zealand.

Nicole Sutton, 29, and her partner Hiroki Ogawa, 31, froze to death after  they became trapped in poor weather near the summit of Mt Taranaki over Labour Weekend.

At least 280 people have died on Aoraki Mt Cook, New Zealand’s highest mountain, and Mt Taranaki in recent times, with the former being the deadliest with more than 200 deaths.

Justice French Eat Sh*t!

Posted by te2ataria on December 16, 2010

Peter Lamont Sentenced to Life Imprisonment, to Serve 14½ Years

Lamont committed a horrible crime, but did so in a moment of insanity: Moderators

Peter Lamont
Peter Lamont, the 48-year-old Scots immigrant, driven to insanity by a massive culture shock, butchered his wife Lindsay on July 5 2009,. Photo: Greymouth Star. Image may be subject to copyright.

Even a blind judge could have seen that, but instead justice French opened her large ugly mouth and blurted out her guts:

“For all you knew, she may well have been saved if you had called an ambulance instead of going back to the knife draw,” The evil bitch told him.

“It must have been a horrifying sight to see Lindsay’s body lying on the floor of a blood-spattered kitchen.”

In a letter read to the court, Lamont said he had, “in a moment of madness, weakness and selfishness taken away everything that was good”.

His mental functions were clearly impaired, and the court should have acquitted him of murder on grounds of insanity and diminished capacity.

The Lamonts had moved from Scotland to Blackball, New Zealand, one of the most depressing poxy towns in the world. Places like Blackball are not conducive to mental and physical health. Unless you are born there and with nowhere to go, you have no business being there. The New Zealand death clocks tick twice as fast in Blackball-like places than they do in the rest of the country.

In an interview with Cuisine magazine in 2007, peter describing his first impression of Blackball said:  “I expected an airport, not a hangar!”

As the family drove into Blackball that first time, past a couple of dodgy houses and up the broad main street past the hotel with its wide verandas, “the banjo music started ringing in my ears”.

He added:

Though Peter Lamont insisted to the magazine that his family loved the town, they seem to have found the change of lifestyle difficult, to say the least. After only four months – and to the annoyance of his boss – Lamont had left Blackball Salami to work as a butcher at the Fresh Choice supermarket in nearby Greymouth.

Death Clock for Jane Bishop, 27, Started Ticking When She Arrived in New Zealand

The 27-year-old nurse from East Sussex was crushed to death by a truck after she swerved to avoid a car door being opened.

Jane Bishop was looking forward to visiting her pregnant twin sister back home, but her remains will arrive home in a cold body bag instead.

She was crushed to death while cycling on Auckland’s Tamaki Drive on Wednesday night.

A colleague described her as “an angel,” and told the media  about Ms Bishop’s plan to visit her twin sister back in Britain.

“She’s got a twin sister back home and her sister is due to have the first baby of the family. Jane had booked to go home, she was going home for the birth.

“She was just so comforting and warming, just a fantastic and loving girl.”

“Police said she took evasive action after a motorist opened a car door and fell off her bike underneath a truck travelling in the same direction,” according to a report.

An eye-witness was reported as saying that Ms Bishop was trapped underneath the truck’s rear wheels, and  “she was in a bad way.”

Miss Bishop was at least the 1,961th foreigner to be killed in New Zealand since January 2000.

Our thought go to her family and friends.

Police Cleared in Murder of Briton, Lee Jane Mettam

Posted by te2ataria on April 15, 2010

Remember the Murder of British Drug Addict Lee Jane Mettam by a New Zealand Paramilitary Death Squad?

Mettam was a down and out addict. She was desperate, and was carrying an airgun.

It Took a Full Squad of  Scumbag Paramilitary Police Force in New Zealand to Shoot Briton, Lee Jane Mettam, 37. She was shot in the chest several times, even though she couldn’t have harmed a fly.

lee-jane-mettam
THE SCENE: A woman was repeatedly shot by police at the First Mobile Vodafone shop in Reyburn St, Whangarei 23 Oct 2008. Photo: WHANGAREI LEADER. Image may be subject to copyright.

A trigger-happy police scumbag fatally shot a Briton Lee Jane Mettam, 37, of Onerahi, Whangarei, who was carrying an airgun. The police assassin, of course, could have shot the “armed and dangerous woman” in the leg or arm to incapacitate her; however, the scumbag deliberately shot the victim in the chest and let her lay on the ground bleeding for several hours so that there would be no chance of her surviving the assassination.

The Independent Police Conduct Authority (IPCA) has cleared the unnamed police murderer,  “Officer A”,  saying he was justified in shooting Lee Meetam.

“In light of the immediate threat of death or grievous bodily harm to himself and others, and he could not have reasonably protected himself or others in a less violent manner in the circumstances,” the IPCA kangaroo inquiry said.

A message to the Authority Chair, the Evil Justice Lowell Goddard, who said other options such as using a police dog or Taser were not available or impracticable:

The moderators sincerely wish something as bad, or worse, would happen to you or someone very close to you, one day soon!

WARNING to Dim Tourists

Posted by te2ataria on March 1, 2010

Bring Your own Map!

IF you are visiting New Zealand despite the deadly chemical pollution, poisonous food and our famous death roads …

Your life is at risk not just because of the factors listed above, but “potentially deadly mistakes” that have a habit of creeping into our maps. Here’s one instance of how things are done here in New Zealand:

The latest batch of Topo50 maps, which are the official topographic map series used by New Zealand emergency services, and available to trampers and hunters, have been printed with tracks that have never existed or no longer exist, tracks put on the map in the wrong place, or tracks included that are no longer deemed safe to use, the Manawatu Tramping Club says.

Chief guide Kim Fraser discovered the maps were wrong when she took some groups through the eastern side of the Ruahine Range.

One of the main safety hazards she noticed was poled routes being shown as tramping tracks.

“Poled routes are generally on the tops above the treeline and alpine skills are needed at certain times of the year, under certain weather and track conditions. Sound navigational skills are also most certainly needed under some weather conditions as this can make the route impossible to navigate without them, even with sparsely placed poles along the route.”

She wants people to contact the Department of Conservation immediately if they know of any other errors so a corrections list can be made and sent to Land Information New Zealand, which produces the maps.

“Maps should not be wrong. It was just lucky with the groups I took out that I had the old maps on me as well.”

Department area manger Jason Roxburgh said the new maps had been created using the same technology as that used in GPS systems, mostly created by aerial photos.

“If people find mistakes in new ones, let us know.” More …

The manager might have grinned when he uttered the final sentence, adding in a murmur … “that’s if you make it back to town alive.”
