Another day, Another Tourist Disaster in NZ

Many injured as boats collide in NZ’s Marlborough Sounds

A Dolphin Watch Ecotours (!) catamaran crashed into an Outward Bound cutter vessel  injuring at least 8 people in the Marlborough Sounds this afternoon.

Two people are believed to have received serious to critical injuries, while the others sustained broken bones injuries.

The catamaran was about 20 minutes out of Picton heading towards Motuara Island in the Queen Charlotte Sound when it collided with the other boat at about 2.30pm, one of the passengers said.

The first thing the Dolphin Watch Ecotour CEO said was that they’ve suspended the boat “captain” but WILL continue with business as usual.

The catamaran had 18 passengers on board and the cutter 11.

The Bad, the Ugly and the Most Unreasonable

Posted by te2ataria on March 12, 2010

Edited by TEAA and D.H.

Appropriate adjectives for the average kiwi businessperson

[NOTE: Perfidious, greedy, feckless, thieving, knave, immoral … are apt descriptions.]

In the old days, in most parts of the world, what the kiwi tourism bandits are doing would have been tantamount to highway robbery, punishable by hanging.

Today, they call it “Rugby World Cup prices,” and get the despicable hotel council chairwoman defending it by saying if the prices were too high, visitors would go elsewhere.

How about going elsewhere to Australia?

And that’s exactly what the the British tour operator Gullivers Sports Travel UK is considering: Flying the fans to Auckland games and then to Sydney to stay the night, in a reasonably priced accommodation, instead of paying the Hamilton hoteliers the cost of an arm and a leg.

It’s difficult to imagine how much the reedy b*stards are charging to make the Sydney fly back option, or even chartering a cruise ship alternative, which they are also considering, viable.

The average price of NZ$ 2,500 per double room per night in the average flea motel is confidential, of course. Furthermore, there is compulsory two-night stay (or pay)  throughout the event, except the last weekend, when it increases to three nights.

Australian tour operators have also complained about the extortionate hotels costs during the tournament. “Some have said that fans from across the Tasman would prefer fly to New Zealand, watch the games and fly out again rather than pay the rates being asked by hoteliers.” A report said.

“We are confident that the free market will provide solutions so that hotels that are overcharging will have to reduce their prices or face the prospect of empty beds during RWC 2011.” Rugby World Cup chief executive Martin Snedden said.

Holy busted balls, Martin Snedden, if this is not taking a captive audience to the cleaners and pumping their butts with Anchor butter …

The managing director of the Australian We Love Rugby tour company, Warren Livingstone, has complained that some hotels have hiked their rates by up to 1000 percent [tenfold] for the event, warning that fans would stay away rather than pay such extortionate prices.

“Australians love New Zealand and we love coming there for the rugby, as we do every year by the thousands for the Bledisloe Cup. But it won’t be at any cost,” Mr Livingstone said.

“We have over 4000 fans pre-registered for 2011 but Australians won’t just pay ridiculous prices, we’ll look at other rugby events to travel to like the end of season spring tour to Europe.”

Hoteliers Justification for the Ripoff?

If foreign fans are stupid enough to travel up to 24 hours to watch grownup men scratching, biting and robbing their genitals against each other…

Then you deserve being spooked by the dumbass toilet spies

But first know the 10 biggest threats to you, your family and the country

  1. Earthquakes, Volcanic Eruptions, and Tsunami
  2. Climate Change
  3. Factory Farming
  4. Tourism
  5. Poverty
  6. Alcohol related violence
  7. Drug related violence
  8. Violence related to the sick, militaristic national psyche
  9. Unequal distribution of wealth which denies our kids a fair chance and drives them towards self-destruction
  10. The government (corporate/military firstism, police state, state terrorism, corrupt judiciary, crooked police …)

[Not necessarily in that order all of the time. ]

Can you see why people like Dr Nylons (see below) and their ridiculous fantasy-fiction tales are needed? They are there to scare and distract you from realizing your priorities.

We countered security threat: SIS

“New Zealand faced a security threat last year which was successfully countered by the Security Intelligence Service (SIS), a report presented to Parliament today reveals.” NZPA reported.

“We undertook successful counter terrorism operations which delivered important information about activities that posed a security threat,” said the NZ Stasi Chief [Director of Security Warren Tucker.]

No one will believe your bullcrap, Dr Nylons, until you do a “9/11” and blame it on the foreign students.

I bet they are NOT going to back their fictitious claim by a single shred of evidence.

“The SIS, however, gives no details in its annual report other than a single sentence in a list of what it describes as its successes during the 2008/09 financial year that ended on June 30 last year.” The report added.

Hate to say I told you so!

The report says “24 domestic interception warrants” were in force, 14 of which were issued during the 2008/09 year, with 10 outstanding from the previous year.

“Action was taken under all domestic warrants during the year under review,” the SIS report said.

“Methods of interception and seizure used were telecommunications interception, listening devices [toilet spying] and the copying of documents [breaking and entering, snatching your attache case, and stealing your wallet.]”

The report claims [again without a shred of evidence] the information that were illegally obtained “materially contributed to the detection of activities prejudicial to security, or produced foreign intelligence essential to security, that was not likely to have been obtained by other means.”

[The report also fails to mention whose security it’s referring to, the wealthy Kiwis, the middle class, or the poor and dispossessed majority.]

“The Government Communications Security Bureau also presented its annual report but, like the SIS, gave few details of its operations.” NZPA said.

F*ck! Didn’t have the faintest we had this other ‘Government Communications Security Bureau.’ Are these the ones who urinate in Aussie wine bottles and put them back on supermarket shelves in the UK, and try to persuade tourists going to Oz to come to New Zealand, instead?

I had heard of people spamming internet forums about the “primordial beauty” of New Zealand [sic,] though had no idea who they were.

Time to own up Dr Nylons, Sir Bruce, which one you two b*stards hacked the 1080 page on Wikipedia?

“New Zealand’s security environment over this last year has changed significantly, becoming more complex and unpredictable,” said director Sir Bruce Ferguson.

“During this period the bureau continued to provide unique intelligence creating a decision-making advantage for the New Zealand Government, bringing a wide range of skills, products and services to bear on this goal.”

Sir Bruce reportedly asks for more money in his report, too, saying “financial constraints placed upon the bureau over this last year” which has made the challenges more daunting, he said, NZPA reported.

Dr Nylons, Sir Bruce, you belong in a museum!

NZ Prime Minister Murders 3 More Brits, One Baby

Posted by te2ataria on September 17, 2009

Why was it murder? Why John Key stands accused?

John Key, Prime Minister of New Zealand, kills 3 more British tourists, one of them a three year old child.

The three English tourists who were killed in a crash in Christchurch yesterday were:

1. Sera Eades, 60,

2. Her granddaughter Iva Harper, aged 3

3. Her cousin Valerie Susan Bryan, 68.

Mrs Eades’s husband, Geoff Eades, was driving the car, which went out of control colliding with a power pole in Christchurch suburb of New Brighton about 6.20pm, last night.

Mr Eades was in a stable condition in Christchurch Public Hospital, according to New Brighton police.

The Eades family came from Derbyshire, England. Mrs Bryan came from the village of Castle Donnington, a report said.

They had been in NZ for a few days before they were killed, police said.

How John Key commits mass murder?

Firstly, both as the prime minster and tourism minister of New Zealand, John Key spends tens of millions of dollars luring foreign tourists into the country. New Zealand is a deadly destination for tourism.

Secondly, New Zealand roads are the deadliest among OECD countries. Most every tourist is unaware of this fact.

Thirdly, the tourists are left to the the mercy of fate, one  decided by  a bunch of alcoholic, drugged and otherwise unfit “drivers” on the roads. For example, teenage girls as young as 13, on a hormonal rush, under the influence of banned substances and with more alcohol in their blood than even most adults can handle,  are let loose on deadly New Zealand roads. Most every tourist is unaware of this fact, too.

Fourthly, nearly all second-hand cars, especially the rental cars, and some new ones that are sold in New Zealand are defective. Car dealers import defective cars from other countries because they are cheaper than roadworthy cars. None of the tourists we have spoken to was aware of this fact, either.

However, Mr Key is fully aware of all the above-stated facts. Yet he has taken NO step to ensure  the safety of foreign tourists who are lured into this country as “cash cows.” In fact, foreign visitors are

Twice More Likely to Get Killed in NZ in 2009-10 than last year.

In all likelihood the police and corporate media will blame Mr Eades for the crash. Given the extent of his personal tragedy he would be a soft target and and accommodating one for shouldering the blame.

‘Disrespectful’ pedestrian bashed unconscious

Friday, 23 January 2009

NZPA / Stuff NZ

A 23-year-old man got out of a car and bashed a pedestrian, possibly a foreign visitor,  unconscious because he had been “disrespectful” by walking slowly across the road, Christchurch District Court has been told.

Samuel Jeffery Bryant, of Christchurch, admitted assaulting a 22-year-old man in the central city on January 18.

Bryant was a passenger in a car which had to stop for pedestrians crossing Hereford Street about 12.30am, police prosecutor Sergeant Lisa Goodson said.

Bryant got out and punched the victim in the head, knocking him unconscious for about 10 seconds. He told police the other man had been “disrespectful” by walking slowly across the road and making his car have to slow down. Continued …

Dutch Govt Acts on New Zealand Rapes

Posted by te2ataria on January 23, 2009

Why don’t Chinese, Korean and all other governments whose citizens are killed, raped, assaulted or robbed in poxy New Zealand do the same?

The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs has acted sensibly by posting a warning on its website asking travelers to be vigilant in New Zealand.

We hope our effort to carefully document the reported rapes in New Zealand was helpful to the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
