At least 4,000 overseas visitors, international students, foreign workers, recent emigrants and refugees have lost their lives and more than 24,000 others seriously injured in New Zealand between Jan 2000 and Jan 2017. All silent Kiwis are complicit in the mass killing of foreigners. (Bad Karma)

People living in Wellington, Christchurch, Auckland, Tasman Bay and Hawke’s Bay regions are either very brave, or extremely… Then again, karma works in mysterious ways!

How is the implantation of a defective prosthesis NOT a physical injury?

Sent by a reader

“Four New Zealanders suffering complications from faulty hip implants have won the chance to appeal against the decision to deny them compensation.”

“After a lengthy legal battle, solicitors representing the four patients will go to the High Court to argue that the implantation of a defective prosthesis is a physical injury entitling the claimant to cover for a treatment injury.

“A group of five who had claims rejected lost their bid to overturn ACC’s decision in 2016 at the Wellington District Court in front of [frigging, establishment] Judge MacLean.” http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/health/94108230/Four-people-with-faulty-hips-continue-legal-action-against-ACC

Begging: ‘fundamental freedom of expression’

Napier City Council is breaching the fundamental freedom of expression of three beggars under the Bill of Rights, a human rights lawyer will tell the court.

Another lawyer representing two of the beggars said the men will seek to challenge the validity of Napier’s bylaw “insofar as it applies to begging”.

“… begging is a form of political expression that lies at the very core of freedom of expression in that it draws attention to the defendants’ plight, thus raising social and political consciousness amongst the public.”

Impact of Tourism on NZ Fish

Kaikōura’s famous crayfish – also known as rock lobster – are under threat from the growing number of tourists going out on fishing charters, say local fishers.

“Technically they’re [tourists] allowed six lobsters per person and one of these boats can take out 80 people per day. When you’ve got them going out, say, 150 to 200 days a year, that’s a substantial amount of harvesting from a localised fishery.”

It’s not just the corrupt politicians, odious judges, pathological police… our health professionals are woefully incompetent, too!

Hospitals from Hell: About 10,000 people were harmed by NZ hospitals last year alone, said a report.
“[The Accident Compensation Corporation] ACC has forked out close to $675 million in the past decade for patients injured after botched medical treatments, misdiagnosis, post-surgery infections and reactions to medications.”The ACC released a report on treatment injuries, cases where patients were unintentionally harmed during medical treatment, in the 2015/2016 financial year today.

“It found that 8881 treatment injury claims were accepted. With 5002 coming from a public DHB hospital, a further 3879 treatment injuries were sustained in private hospitals, general practice, and other health settings.” Read more…

The report is available at www.acc.co.nz/treatmentsafety.

Major fraud and suspected double murder simply called “alleged conflicts of interest”

Spit in their face: The next time someone says NZ is one of the least corrupt countries…

“Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority’s (CERA) staff employed to bring investment to Christchurch set up their own company through which investors would pay them a fee on private property deals,” according to a Stuff investigation, and this is just tip of the iceberg.

What people are saying about CERA:

Labour leader Andrew Little said: “I cannot believe an arrangement like this – where you have public servants also allowed to operate a private company and further their private interests – was approved and signed off.”

Asked what he thinks about The Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC) and the State Services Commission (SSC) investigating the private property dealings connected to three former CERA staff [Murray Cleverley, Gerard Gallagher and Simon Nikoloff] Little said SSC and DPMC lacked sufficient investigative powers to conduct an effective inquiry.

“It must be the Auditor-General. The Auditor-General has powers to compel and look not only at what happened with those people and the rest of CERA but what happened at the Minister’s office as well.

“A week after New Zealand is rated top in the world anti-corruption index [George Soros Transparency International -Editor] this is just the stuff that undermines that. If our oversight mechanisms mean this wasn’t picked up then we have some serious work to do.”

Who killed Julian Carver and Michelle Mitchell?

Julian Carver, the former chief information officer at CERA, has died unexpectedly, police said.

Father of two Julian Carver, 44, was the former chief information officer at CERA. He was found dead in  suspicious circumstances, this blog believes, at a psychiatric hospital in Christchurch on January 2, 2017.

Julian Carver, 44, the former chief information officer at The Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority (CERA), died “unexpectedly” in psychiatric hospital in Christchurch on January 2, 2017.

Growth-enhancing drug found in NZ beef in Taiwan

New Zealand authorities claim they are puzzled as to how a shipment of beef sent to Taiwan tested positive for a growth-enhancing drug ractopamine, which is banned in most countries because of its impacts on animal and human health.

“New Zealand is one of only 27 countries in the world to allow its use, but restricts it to the pork industry which says it is not widely used here.”
