Auckland Airport assassinates security dog after it delays morning flights

Grizz, the slain dog was one of three new Aviation Security puppies introduced in May 2016. Photo: Via StuffNZ.

Grizz, an Aviation Security dog serving Auckland Airport, was assassinated early on Friday morning after apparently escaping from his [abusive?] handlers.

A dozen or so flights were reportedly delayed as a result.

Dog teams undergo 10 weeks of training before graduating from the Police Dog Training Centre (REMEMBER the WALL?) as operational.

The dogs’ presence in airports can deter potential explosive-layers and they also conduct random searches around the airport, such as at check-in counters, screening points and gate lounges.

They also back up police and customs and corrections teams when there are bomb threats.

“Police can confirm that Auckland Airport staff directed police [ASSASSINS] to shoot the AVSEC dog which was loose at the airport this morning.”

Animal Cruelty: Did Grizz suffer from ongoing PSTD?

Are dogs meant to be subjected to unrelenting, horrendous jet engine noise from thousands of landings and takeoffs, day in, day out, just because it’s cheaper for the airport to operate that way?

Will Grizz receive a posthumous conditional pardon like the WWI British soldiers did in 2006, who were executed for desertion and cowardice, while suffering from shell-shock?

Deputy Commissioner Viv Rickard and the Hon Mark Mitchell unveiling the Wall of Remembrance at the New Zealand Police Dog Training Centre on Wednesday, 15 March 2017. The wall is dedicated to 24 dogs who have been [ALLEGEDLY] killed while on duty since 1972. It’s unknown how many of the dogs were killed by police themselves.

Not a good day for dogs!

Dates of the Week and Counting Lesson for NZ Police

The phenomenally incompetent NZ Police have once again shown their pathological ineptness in writing reports.

Can’t you morons get your dates right? March 15 was a “WENDESDAY”, and that makes Tuesday, a day earlier, which would be March 14.

Only in New Zealand: Passengers walk to Auckland Airport

Posted by te2ataria on December 20, 2016

Sent by a reader

What does it take for New Zealand’s biggest airport to become paralysed?

Apparently, just an overturned truck!

“Frantic travellers rushing to catch flights abandoned their vehicles and started walking to Auckland Airport after a crashed truck completely blocked the main route to the airport from the north,” said a report.

It’s unclear what actually happened to the abandoned cars, if in fact the passengers were the drivers.

The truck rolled about 4.20pm on Tuesday, completely closing the southbound lanes for nearly two hours.
