E-Coli warning for Hawke’s Bay estuary
Torrential rain and wastewater discharge into the estuary last week have contaminated it with high levels of E-coli, warned the Hawke’s Bay Regional Council.

“Confirmation of E-coli in the water meant swimming and water based activities in contaminated water posed a risk of infections of the stomach, skin, eyes and ears. Gathering shellfish was never recommended from Ahuriri, but with flows of wastewater into the estuary, risks were likely to be even higher than normal for some time, because shellfish could take several weeks to clear any contaminants they absorbed,” said a report citing a health official.

Only in New Zealand: Passengers walk to Auckland Airport

Posted by te2ataria on December 20, 2016

What does it take for New Zealand’s biggest airport to become paralysed?

Apparently, just an overturned truck!

“Frantic travellers rushing to catch flights abandoned their vehicles and started walking to Auckland Airport after a crashed truck completely blocked the main route to the airport from the north,” said a report.

It’s unclear what actually happened to the abandoned cars, if in fact the passengers were the drivers.

The truck rolled about 4.20pm on Tuesday, completely closing the southbound lanes for nearly two hours.

‘Severe’ earthquake rocks Canterbury

Canterbury was rocked by a “severe” earthquake measuring 5.7 magnitude, centred 20 kilometres southeast of Culverden at a depth of 7km.

“While the quake was centred approximately 100km north of Christchurch, many “extreme” felt reports were logged by those in the city. It was felt as far afield as Invercargill and Auckland.” http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/86758316/Canterbury-shaken-by-severe-earthquake

Norovirus outbreak hits quake-struck Waiau

At least four people have fallen ill with a nasty stomach bug and hospitalized in the quake-stricken town of Waiau in north Canterbury.

Many homes in Waiau, were severely damaged in Monday’s 7.8 magnitude earthquake and powerful aftershocks that ensued, and lost all power and water.

A communal kitchen had been operating at the township’s school after the earthquake, and apparently the cook(s) didn’t wash their hands after cleaning their butt.

Massive slip in ranges near quake-stricken Kaikoura has a class of its own

Stranded tourists in quake-hit Kaikoura told to FUCK OFF and leave!

A Kaikoura motel owner said he had to kick out two tourists, who just wanted a “cheap holiday”, for overstaying their welcome and exacerbating the stressful situation, following Monday’s quake!

New Zealand First deputy leader Ron  Mark said some stranded tourists were taking advantage of the generosity of locals, receiving free food and hand-outs, and partying into the small hours and causing grief for locals dealing with the quake calamity.

The moron did not specify what the stranded tourists should have done, instead!?

Latest disinformation on the share of New Zealand homes being bought by foreigners

Foreign buyers bought only 2.65 per cent of NZ  homes, according to the latest disinformation released by Land Information New Zealand (LINZ).

  • Only 1,431 out of 53,991 residential properties (2.65%) were bought by people with overseas tax residency.
  • The data is FALSE because it counts all corporations and trusts as New Zealand residents.
  • Foreign students and temporary workers, a very large number of whom are proxy/ surrogate buyers, are classified as residents, even if they do not intend to occupy the property or stay in NZ.
  • Chinese tax residents bought 372 out of 648 (57 per cent) of the homes sold in Auckland in the last quarter (July – September).

Other News in Drips…

Not just gays to blame for quake, says Brian Tamaki, but all ‘extra-sexual behaviour’

“Brian Tamaki has defended saying that gays, sinners and murders are responsible for earthquakes, saying he actually meant anybody indulging in illicit sexual behaviour, adultery, child abuse and more,” said a report.

“It’s about adultery, morality, it’s about any type of extra-sexual behaviour,” Tamaki has told Willie Jackson in an interview on RadioLive.

Meanwhile, John Key called Tamaki’s comments “ridiculous“.

“Look, you always get people coming out with these stupid statements.”

“It’s nothing to do with people’s sexuality. I mean, it’s just madness.”

Our advice to YOU and all intelligent people in Wellington area
1. There’s a frighteningly large buildup of tectonic stress energy right under your feet.
2. RUN while you’re still alive, before the next exodus bottleneck makes it impossible to flee the danger zone.
