Anti-American NZ Judge Chooses Independence Day to Give US Student Long Sentence

F**k USA” Judge Stephen Harrop jailed US Student for 2½ years for a fire he started unintentionally.

Bennett Alexander, 20, has been expelled from Victoria University, his student visa has been revoked and he faces deportation.

Alexander, who probably comes from a wealthy family, was granted bail pending appeal to the High Court. Judge F**k USA” Harrop is concerned the NZ$1.24 million in damages [way too high an estimate] could not be recovered. So it seems the Alexanders would be blackmailed to buy their son’s freedom!

Google Censorship

Google Censorship: Flagrant Violation of Free Speech!

Say “NO!” To Google Censorship

Announcement: Anti-Censorship Campaign Against Google starts

Google search engines continue to block specific searches for information on New Zeelend posted after early June 2008.

New Zeelend is a non-commercial, volunteer service public information blog dedicated to exposing the truth about New Zealand.

In 2006 Amnesty International launched a campaign against Internet censorship targeting Google, Yahoo and Microsoft for complying with Internet censorship in China. Google and the others were accused of colluding with repressive regimes like the Chinese regime to curtail online freedom.”

The Internet has become a new frontier in the struggle for human rights,” said Kate Allen, director of Amnesty’s British operations.

“Its potential to empower and educate, to allow people to share and mobilize opinion, has led to government crackdowns,” she said.

Google Operates Outside US Constitution, International Law

Two years on, and in a flagrant violation the US Constitution and international law, Google now appears to be colluding with the repressive regime in New Zealand to curtail our online freedom and our inalienable right to free speech.

Freedom of speech is being able to speak freely without censorship. The United States Constitution protects opinions under inalienable 1st Amendment free speech rights.

The right to freedom of speech is also guaranteed under international law through numerous human-rights instruments, notably under Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and Article 10 of the European Convention on Human Rights.

Google is blatantly violating the United States Constitution and the international law, and therefore poses a clear and present threat to online freedom and freedom of speech in the United states and in other countries throughout the world. Google must NOT be allowed to operate in its current format.

More information will be posted here.

Constructive comments, suggestion and other information concerning this campaign may be posted below.

A 39-year-old Asian woman, presumed to be Korean or Japanese, was murdered in Auckland as her assailant who snatched her handbag knocked her down with his 4WD and drove over her.

The Asian victim suffered serious head injuries and died about an hour later.

Posted by te2ataria on June 16, 2008

[New Zealand Death Syndrome (NZDS), Health Bulletin # 12. Outbreak of Dangerous Group A Streptococcus Bacterium, June 17, 2008]

Keep Your Kids OUT of New Zealand!

Health workers revealed an outbreak of group A streptococcus bacterium, which causes rheumatic fever and can lead arthritis and heart damage, had infected at least 32 children in Kaikohe, New Zealand.

Photomicrograph of Streptococcus pyogenes bacteria, 900x Mag. A pus specimen, viewed using Pappenheim’s stain. Last century, infections by S. pyogenes claimed many lives especially since the organism was the most important cause of puerperal fever and scarlet fever. This media comes from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Public Health Image Library (PHIL), with identification number #2110.

Urgent Health Warning: Outbreak of Staphylococcus aureus

Posted by te2ataria on June 12, 2008

[New Zealand Death Syndrome (NZDS), Health Bulletin # 11. Outbreak of Staphylococcus aureus, June 12, 2008]

[“Unlucky”] Baby died after infection breakout

One of the “unlucky” 21 babies who caught the [potentially] fatal staphylococcus aureus infection in Auckland Hospital’s Neonatal unit died.

The bacteria is reportedly immune to common antibiotics. In a similar outbreak at Wellington Hospital in 2004 three babies died and at least 30 others infected.

The hospital’s infection control clinical adviser said the infection was relatively common in neonatal intensive care units. [Conclusion: The babies who died must have been “unlucky!”]

Maori Leader Claiming Sacred Ancestoral Land Nabbed by NZ Gestapo

Posted by te2ataria on May 31, 2008

Iwi group’s bid to claim park fails

The Dominion Post | Saturday, 31 May 2008

A breakaway band of Rangitaane iwi has failed in a bid to claim Palmerston North’s Anzac Park for a marae. [Marae is a sacred place for religious and social purposes: Moderator]

The group of about 20 yesterday marched from The Square to the bush-covered hill reserve on the edge of the Manawatu River.

However, the protest ended when police arrested leader Carwyn Kawana for trespass. The rest of the group dispersed.

Mr Kawana vowed he would be back every day till his bloodlines got the land back.

He said a marae once stood on the land and it was also an old pa site and the “young warriors” wanted a marae to be built again to honour their ancestors.

A carved representation in contemporary style of Te Au-o-te-whenua, an ancestor of the Kawerau-ā-Maki people.

He was arrested after Palmerston North City Council representative Peter Eathorne asked them to leave and then read a trespass notice. [Not the riot act, surely! See Notes below: Moderator]

Mr Eathorne said Anzac Park would be shut to the public this weekend to manage the “issue”.

Last Friday, Mr Kawana’s group erected a carving in The Square but it was removed by the council. [Source]

wi
form the largest everyday social units in Māori populations. The word iwi means “people” or “folk”; in many contexts it might translate as “tribe” or as “clan.”

In the Māori language, iwi also means “bones”. The Māori author, Keri Hulme, named her best known (1985 Booker Prize) novel The Bone People, a title linked directly to the dual meaning of bone and “tribal people”. Māori may refer to returning home after travelling or living elsewhere as “going back to the bones” — literally to the burial-areas of the ancestors. Many societies might use the analogous concept of “roots”. (Source)

A marae (in New Zealand Māori, Cook Islands Maori, Tahitian) malaʻe (in Tongan), malae (in Samoan and Hawaiian), is a sacred place which served both religious and social purposes in pre-Christian Polynesian societies. In all these languages, the word also means “cleared, free of weeds, trees, etc.” It generally consists of an area of cleared land roughly rectangular (the marae itself), bordered with stones or wooden posts (called au in Tahitian and Cook Islands Māori) perhaps with terraces (paepae) which were used in olden times for ceremonial purposes; and with a central stone ahu or a’u (sometimes as in the Rapanui culture’s ahu on Easter Island “ahu” becomes a synonym for the whole marae complex). (Source)

The Riot Act (1 Geo. 1, c. 5) of 1714 was an act introduced by the Parliament of Great Britain authorising local authorities to declare any group of more than twelve people to be unlawfully assembled, and thus have to disperse or face punitive action. The Act, whose long title was “An act for preventing tumults and riotous assemblies, and for the more speedy and effectual punishing the rioters“, came into force on August 1, 1715, and remained on the statute books until 1973.

If a group of people failed to disperse within twenty minutes of the proclamation, the act provided that the authorities could use force to disperse them. Anyone assisting with the dispersal was specifically indemnified against any legal consequences in the event of any of the crowd being injured or killed. (Source)

Because of the broad authority that the act granted, it was used both for the maintenance of civil order and for political means. A particularly notorious use of the act was the Peterloo Massacre of 1819 in Manchester [15 people were killed and 400–700 were injured.]
