Canadian Woman Killed, Husband and Daughter Critically Injured

[at least according to initial reports]

Another victim of New Zealand Death Roads to Leave the Country in a Body Bag

Two people who were [initially reported critically] injured during the crash are believed to have been the husband and daughter of the dead victim.

The caravan in which the Canadian tourists were travelling reportedly collided with a truck at 1.55pm on Thursday.

The collision occurred at the intersection of State Highway 3 and Waitomo Caves Rd in Hangatiki, according to local reports.

It is expected that the authorities would blame the Canadian driver for the death of his wife, as per routine police practice in this country.

On average, 3 foreigners are killed in New Zealand every 4 days.

The Canadian tourist was the 2,420th foreigner to be murdered/killed in New Zealand since January 2000.

Canadian Tourist Killed in New Zealand

One Canadian Tourist Killed, Another Seriously Injured

Police have finally revealed identity of the Canadian tourist who was killed in a car crash near Hamilton last week.

He has been named as 19-year-old Cameron Chad Adrian, from Alberta, Canada.

Mr Adrian was violently killed when his car collided with a truck on State Highway 1, near Karapiro, 30km southeast of Hamilton, on Friday, according to reports.

“A 20-year-old female passenger suffered serious injuries and was taken to Waikato Hospital,” a report said.

Cooking the Death Toll

Meanwhile, as the death toll from the tragic earthquake in Japan rises, Mr Key’s gang cook the books to reduce the death toll from the Christchurch quake in an attempt to make a major tragedy look like a minor accident.

Come back a week from now and they might even deny the Christchurch quake ever occurred!!!

As for the “anti-Chinese” stance, don’t be fooled. Th egovt has already agreed to pay the family of each Chinese victim a “reasonable” cash gift, informed sources say.

However, there are two reasons why the government won’t admit the fact that they have agreed to pay additional compensation [blood money] to the Chinese victims family:

1) They score  massive political points and look good

2) The avoid having to pay similar compensation to the families of other foreign victims  including the  Filipinos, Japanese, Turkish, Iraqis, British, Australians, Irish…

On average, at least one foreigner will be killed in New Zealand every day throughout 2011.

Another day, Another Tourist Killed in NZ

Canadian tourist killed after powerboat collided with buoy near Matakana Island

Thanks to the 5.6m runabout skipper and the rescuers, it took 20 minutes before the body of the Canadian tourist was finally recovered.

UPDATE: The dead Canadian tourist has since been identified as Richard Evans, 63, whose NZ death clock rang out.

The passenger on the 5.6m runabout died after the boat struck a channel marker buoy near Matakana Island, northwest of Mount Maunganui, about 1.50pm yesterday. It is understood the man who died was a Canadian tourist in his 60s.

The 65-year-old skipper was taken to Tauranga Hospital with lacerations to his face and serious injuries.

Immediately after the collision a boatie in a nearby yacht named Wind Rose put out a mayday signal and tethered the yacht to the upturned boat.

Harbour warden Brian Rogers, who was third on the scene after responding to the call, said rescuers were not immediately aware of how many people were involved in the collision.

Clearly, they needed Einstein to suggest a quick search under the capsized boat.

“There was initially some confusion … [the rescued man] was clearly dazed and confused so the searchers weren’t sure whether they were looking for a second person or not.

“He was in shock, understandably, so he wasn’t very coherent,” the warden said.

A crewman from the Port of Tauranga pilot boat dived under the capsized hull and emerged with an unconscious body.

Mr Rogers pulled the man on to his vessel and, with a colleague, performed CPR on him for 10 minutes.

“Then the coastguard told us to stop. He’d been under the water for 20 minutes and had a massive head injury. I don’t think there was anything that could be done for him.”

The coast guard who had finally noticed the “seriousness of the injuries” said, the pair must have been “travelling at a high speed,” the report said.

On average, two foreigners are killed in New Zealand every three days.

At least 2,023 foreign students, tourists and new immigrants have been Killed in NZ between  January 2000 and 7 February 2011 [About 10,000 others seriously injured.]
