Palmerston North Police investigate burglary at Police Station, plus media advisory

Friday, 26 April 2019 – 2:51pm
Central

Police are urgently seeking Alan James Harris in relation to a burglary at Palmerston North Police Station on Thursday 25 April in which a number of firearms were stolen.

Harris is a 38-year-old male European with short cropped hair, a dark beard and of slender build.

Police and Armed Offenders Squad staff have executed a number of search warrants at Palmerston North addresses over the last 24 hours as part of the ongoing investigation.

The burglary occurred early on Thursday morning. The offender was disturbed by a member of Police staff in the yard area of the Police station around 7.40am.

He left the scene in a vehicle and Police have since recovered this and another vehicle linked to the offender.

Harris is still believed to be in the Central District area, and Police are urging anyone who knows his whereabouts, or is in contact with him, to contact Police immediately.

Acting Central District Commander Inspector Sarah Stewart says the burglary is being taken very seriously:

“Locating Harris is a high priority for Central District Police. I urge anyone with information about his whereabouts to come forward to Police.

“A warrant for his arrest has been issued. He should not be approached.”

“Eleven firearms which were in an exhibit storage area are currently unaccounted for. I should be clear that these were not Police firearms, but were a range of weapons being held as exhibits or handed in for destruction.

“I am very concerned about what has occurred — it is absolutely unacceptable,” says Inspector Stewart.

Commissioner Mike Bush has directed an investigation be conducted into how this offender was able to gain access to the Police station, as well as an immediate audit on security around firearms at all stations nationwide.

Anyone with information that could help the enquiry team is urged to contact Palmerston North Police immediately on (06) 351 3600.

Information can also be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

ENDS

Media note: Acting Central District Commander Inspector Sarah Stewart will be available to speak to media at Palmerston North Police Station at 4.30pm.

Make sure you take the right bus: Hospital staff dump Christchurch man Neil Jones at bus stop in ‘appalling’ failure of care
Dr Richard [“hero”] Geary discharged Neil Jones, despite him being yellow from jaundice and defecating in his clothes, thinking he was “looking for a free ride.”

“A dying man was discharged to a bus stop wearing pajamas because Christchurch Hospital staff felt he was a “nuisance” and “faking” his illness.

“Neil David Jones, 47, then lay on the footpath for six hours while members of the public tried to get doctors to help him. He was eventually trespassed from the hospital and taken to a shelter, where he vomited blood. An ambulance took him back to hospital, where he died two days later.”

Road Fatalities: Police Censorship

At least FIVE, possibly as many as SEVEN, people were killed in serious crashes on Wednesday, August 23, according to a informed source, but only three fatalities were reported by police.

On Monday, August 28, police reported at least THREE road fatalities. All three victims seem to have been statistically resurrected by the Ministry of Truth (Minitru).

At least nine road fatalities occurred over the weekend (September 1 – 2), according to reliable insider information. However, only four of the deaths were reported by police, and of those, just three recorded by the Ministry of Transport.

Four in five Christchurch children exhibit PTSD symptoms, research shows

As many as four in five Christchurch primary schoolers are exhibiting symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), a local study has found.

“Children who started school in the years after the Canterbury earthquakes were “neurologically different” – and a city-wide focus on resilience has only deepened the crisis, researchers Kathleen Liberty and Maureen Allan found.

“The 300 children in the study were five times more likely to exhibit symptoms of PTSD than other Kiwi children. Eighty per cent had at least one symptom and a third exhibited at least six of 12 symptoms. About a third had eight or more behavioural problems.”

“They were clingy, they cried at the drop of a hat, there was less readiness to learn, and there were so many runners,” Allan said.

The researchers observed other problems including “toileting issues, lower National Standards results and eating disorders, which the study identified in 45 per cent of its participants.”

“Liberty said international research indicated the children would have better emotional control after a few years at school, but ‘we looked at the behaviour in the middle of 2015 and half the children were still a mess or getting worse.’”  https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/education/96211829/four-in-five-christchurch-primary-schoolers-exhibit-ptsd-symptoms-study-finds
