“Neighbour Des Gilmore said a mother and her daughter, who were from Malaysia, had lived in the house for about two years and were lovely.”

“They were friends of ours, they went over to Malaysia for a holiday and I haven’t seen them since they got back,” she said. “We’re a close community, we actually looked after her house while she was away.”

New Zealand: A “Nation” of Human Traffickers, Pimps and Drug Pushers

Posted by te2ataria on July 26, 2008

First, it was the US Government report identifying New Zealand as a “destination country” for the trafficking of women for sex from Malaysia, Hong Kong, Pacific Islands, Philippines, China …

Now, the United Nations World Drug Report, based on an annual snapshot of worldwide drug use, describes New Zealand as “increasingly being used as a port for methamphetamine trafficking.”

Trafficking of amphetamines through New Zealand increased by more than 10 per cent in 2006. About 4 per cent of New Zealand population abuse methamphetamine, said the report. However the report is based on 2001 data. It’s estimated that 10-12 percent of New Zealanders over the age of 15 use methamphetamine, ecstasy, party pills, cannabis and cocaine. [It’s believed the majority of New Zealanders over the age of 15 (60-70 percent of population) drown their misery in alcohol!]

A New Depth in Depravity for New Zealand

Finger pointed at NZ in sex trade report

By MICHAEL FIELD – Fairfax Media | Thursday, 05 June 2008

A graphic US Government report on modern slavery has accused New Zealand of being a “destination country” for the trafficking of women for sex from Malaysia, Hong Kong and China [for some reason Vietnamese women are not mentioned in the report.]
[…]
It says some Asian and Pacific Islanders who migrate willingly to work in the agricultural sector and women from the Philippines who migrate to work as nurses “are charged excessive recruiting fees by manpower agencies, and experience unjustified salary deductions and occasional contract fraud, actions that make them vulnerable to involuntary servitude or debt bondage”.

Why was the Wenchuan girl photographed below separated from her parents? Where is she now?

[Why is this girl being taken away?] “A girl waves goodbye to her parents as she is airlifted out of the earthquake-hit city of Wenchuan, Sichuan province May 22, 2008. REUTERS/Reinhard Krause (CHINA)” (Image may be subject to copyright. See New Zeelend Fair Use Notice!)

[The report called for] a formal procedure to identify victims of trafficking among vulnerable groups such as foreign women arrested for prostitution or migrant labourers and continue efforts to investigate and prosecute citizens engaged in child sex tourism.

It said the United States opposed legalised prostitution and the report noted that since this came about in 2004, there had been 94 prosecutions for crimes involving commercial sexual exploitation of minors.
[…]
On Fiji – a major destination for New Zealand tourists – the US State Department says children from China are trafficked for the purposes of sexual exploitation. People from India are trafficked for forced labour and commercial sex.

“In addition, Fiji boys and girls are victims of commercial sexual exploitation by Fiji citizens, foreign tourists, and sailors on foreign fishing vessels. (Source) © Fairfax New Zealand Limited 2007.

Mr Wolfie Nearly Ate Freddie Wyatt for Dinner!

English Tourist in New Zealand Knife Attack: Lucky to Receive a Punctured Lung Instead of a Pierced Heart

Freddie Wyatt, 22, an English backpacker was forced to fly home after an unprovoked knife attack in New Zealand nearly killed him.

He was traveling with friends planning to travel for four months, visiting Fiji, Thailand, Malaysia, Bali and the USA, but his adventure was cut short when he was attacked by six men who repeatedly stabbed him in Christchurch, New Zealand.

“During the attack Mr Wyatt was stabbed in the torso, elbow, shoulder and back, with one 10cm-deep wound narrowly missing his heart.”

“He also suffered a punctured lung, a fractured cheekbone, broken nose and two fractured ribs.”

“Mr Wyatt had to stay in New Zealand for six weeks while his punctured lung healed so he could fly home.”

He said: “I’ve been left with three scars. […] I know I am lucky to be alive, I could have died on the other side of the world if that knife had gone through my heart.

“But I still feel angry these people did this for no reason and forced me to cut short my trip, which I had been planning for a long time.” (Source)
