The 2,000th Foreigner to be killed in New Zealand May have been a Brit, or ‘Turkish’ Teenager Cem Erbay

Mother keeps vigil near body

Cem Erbay was last seen crossing the one-lane bridge on Wharekaho Road, according to reports.

An autopsy has shown the death of a teenager found on the Coromandel this week was not suspicious.  [This can only happen in New Zealand.]

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Greene of the Waikato CIB said the preliminary findings were that 19-year-old Cem Erbay suffered a number of injuries before he died.

“The pathologist reports that Cem suffered a number of injuries, most likely in a fall and that these, combined with his heart condition, were the major contributors in his death.”

The report was completed in Auckland today after Erbay’s body was found, in thick undergrowth, about 50 metres into a pine plantation, 100 metres from the Matarangi Shopping Centre on Monday.

Unbelievable things that happen to you in New Zealand

Posted by te2ataria on January 14, 2010

Foreign Tourists up to 50 times more likely to get killed in New Zealand than in own country

And up to 200 times more likely to receive serious injuries in this country than at home

Just days after a German cyclist was violently killed when she was crushed by a truck-trailer in New Zealand, another tourist was near-fatally injured when a truck wheel came loose and crashed into a bus an Auckland motorway earlier today.

It believed three other tourists were also injured. Police have not released the identity or nationality of the victims.

A pair of the truck’s double rear wheels were dialoged from the vehicle as if by a deadly curse. One of the wheels then “attacked” the tourist bus.

“[The wheel] bounced back over the concrete median barrier and through the window at the front of the bus heading north.”

The wheel avoided the driver but targeted four passengers, leaving one of then critically injured. The tourist was eventually taken to Middlemore Hospital and is now in intensive care.

Police described the interior of the bus las “shredded.”

“You can imagine the size and the weight and the force of that [wheel.]”

New Zealand Kills One More Foreigner

Posted by te2ataria on October 6, 2009

One Foreigner is Murdered/Killed in New Zealand Every Two Days  (9-year average)

A 22-year-old foreigner was killed when the car she was driving, most likely an average defective car driven on New Zealand Death Roads, went out of control and  slammed into a tree in Broadwood, south of Kaitaia, Northland yesterday morning.

The police say they will not release the victim’s name until her relatives overseas can be contacted. They have also refused to release her nationality, which has no bearing on  their privacy claim.

There are many outstanding cases in which the police has made similar statements about the foreigners who were murdered or killed in New Zealand, only to permanently suppress their names details later.
