“Young Jin Baek arrived from South Korea last week to arrange the funerals of his wife and two daughters, who were found dead in their Christchurch home.
“But two hours before the service was due to start on Sunday, the 44-year-old was found dead in his car.
“His wife, Sung Eun Cho, 43, and daughters Kelly Yeon Sue Baek, 13, and Holly Yeon Jae Baek, 17, were found dead at home in Avonhead on Wednesday.”
Kelly Yeon Sue Baek, 13, and Holly Yeon Jae Baek, 17, were found dead at home in the Christchurch suburb of Avonhead in MAy 2010.

Missing, presumed dead!
Mother of a son and daughter Yoon Sook Chun was 47 when she went missing in 2009. She lived in the Aidanfield suburb of Christchurch and held both a New Zealand and South Korean passport. Neither passport have been used to travel out of the country since her disappearance. At around 6am on 18 May 2009 she spoke to her two children briefly before leaving the family home, police reported.
Yoon Sook Chun, then 47, was last seen on May 18, 2009, shortly before she left her Christchurch home. She’s is one of more than 500 foreigners permanently missing in New Zealand.
In July 2015, a reward of up to $30,000 was offered for material information or evidence, which would establish the location of Yoon Soon CHUN and/or her body…

Was the Korean woman abducted, raped and murdered?
Body of missing Korean nurse Mi-Sook (Annie) Yang found in Waikato River
Missing Mi-Sook Yang, known as Annie, was found dead six day after she went missing. Her body was found in the Waikato River between Horotiu and Ngaruawahia.
Korean nurse and mother of two Mi-Sook Yang, 44, also known as Annie was found dead in the Waikato River on August 15, 2018.
Annie’s name is not Yong Ho Shin as previously reported, police said, but they failed to explain why they got her name so wrong in the first place. {Was she another Korean Woman also murdered, but not reported by police?]

Mother of a 4-year-old girl, Irina Yun, 37, was of Korean descent, raised in Kazakhstan, and lived in Moscow before moving to New Zealand.
She left her four-year-old daughter in Auckland and traveled alone to the South Island on Christmas Day. Her backpack was found in the Mount Aspiring National Park on Monday [January 5, 2009.]
There’s something not quite right about this story. This is cloak and dagger stuff and stinks of SIS assassination games.
[A search and rescue dog handler “subsequently located a femur and pelvis bone in the river bed wedged in between some rocks approximately three kilometres down stream of the Dart Hut.” “The Dunedin Coroner, an anthropologist and pathologist have examined the remains and have been able to confirm that the remains are that of Ms Yun,” police said. Another Korean Student Killed in New Zealand
Jieun Jung, 29, a Korean PhD student, who was knocked off her scooter by a truck in Palmerston North on April 18, 2009 died in Wellington Hospital this morning.
Mrs Jung who studied at Massey University reportedly moved to Palmerston North with her husband in 2006. Her husband probably wishes they had returned to Korea instead. Unfortunately, it’s too late for her to make that move.
The police said the crash investigation is ongoing, but they can’t say if charges would be laid. After all, she was just a Korean student bound get herself killed one way or the other, whereas the driver is one of us.

If I were a smart Korean student in New Zealand, I would have escaped with my life the day after headless body of Jae Hyeon Kim was unearthed.
Mr Kim’s head was “chopped off ” with a spade after he was throttled in late 2003. He was buried for five years before the police was forced to search for his body after they received an anonymous tip. New Zealander Shannon Brent Flewellen, 29, a former fisherman from Nelson, New Zealand, confessed to the gruesome murder.

New Zealand Kills Yet Another Korean Tourist
The clock stopped for a South Korean tourist who had nothing better to do than getting killed in New Zealand.
James Cho, 49, was targeted by two cars traveling in opposite directions playing the game of “who got the gook first!” on the North Shore at the weekend.
He was struck by both cars as he crossed Sunset Rd on Saturday afternoon, the nincompoop police said, and died earlier today.
The victim was reportedly staying with friends on the North Shore while on holiday in New Zealand, and was out for a walk when the rain struck.
As he crossed the road looking for shelter, he was hit by the two vehicles.
Poor Mr Cho! He had lived for 49 years without losing his life even once, but had no idea how easy it was for Koreans to get killed in New Zealand.
