  • Gregory John Spargo, 50, of Auckland, died in a motorcycle crash near Bulls on New Year’s Eve
  • A male motorcyclist, possibly a French national, was killed  in a collision between his bike and a car on the Napier-Taihape road yesterday.

“Meanwhile Hawke’s Bay Hospital reported this morning that Manmeet Singh, the baby injured in a crash on the Taupo-Napier highway yesterday when a van plunged down a 10-metre bank, has been taken off the critical list, but his father Jagtar was still in a critical condition in intensive care,” according to a report.

Fatal Crash on SH94

A few Hours after the official holiday period ended, there was another fatal crash involving Chinese tourists:

“The crash involved three cars, the first car was a rental driven and occupied by four tourists from China,” according to a report by Fuseworks.

“The driver is a male aged 43 years in Dunedin hospital in critical condition, a female aged 56 years was found deceased at the scene, a male aged 58 years has been transferred to Christchurch hospital in critical but stable condition and a female aged 30 years is in moderate condition in Invercargill hospital.”

Fiction: Ministry of Transport says New Zealand’s annual road toll for 2013 was 254, the lowest since 1950.

Fact:

  1. Miracles don’t happen.
  2. The rules for recording road fatalities have changed.
  3. Many road fatalities probably go unreported if there are no [credible] witnesses.
  4. If the victim is fatally injured but dies on the way to hospital, or while awaiting medical attention in the emergency room, her death would not be recorded as a road kill.
  5. Other tricks we haven’t discovered yet.

Three Weekend Road Deaths, One Reported

Posted by te2ataria on March 22, 2009

NZ 2009 Road Deaths 123 – 125 [at least]

Of  a total of at least three killed on the roads this weekend, only one was reported

A woman was killed when the defective vehicle she was traveling in rolled on State Highway 10 near Kerikeri. According to Infector Barry Smelley from the police northern communications center, she was killed at the scene.

Three others in the vehicle were injured. One of the occupants with near-fatal injuries was flown to Whangarei Hospital and two others with serious injuries were taken there by ambulance.

http://nz.news.yahoo.com/a/-/top-stories/5422026

The blog’s statistical model confirms the number of road deaths for 2009 so far (both the reported and unreported numbers killed). According to the model, the average monthly number of road deaths for 2009 are about 48 killed (8 people killed every 5 days, or 584 killed throughout 2009) under the current conditions. [The Moderator believes the average could be revised up, soon.]

A badly decomposed body, possibly of a tourist, was found near Wellington

Meanwhile, a badly decomposed body was discovered in a vehicle off State Highway 2 north of Wellington.

The body had apparently been left there for a few weeks, Defective Sergeant Hardwood of Lower Hutt police said.

Four children, all from the same family, were traveling in an SUV when their car collided with a truck and trailer unit that had crossed the center line into its path on State Highway 39 at Ngahinapouri, near Hamilton. http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=10562364

Meanwhile, about two dozen children were injured in another collision between a bus and a truck carrying hot tar on State Highway 1 at Fairfield, north of Ashburton about 3.40pm. http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=10562362

The above was the 2009 Road Death # 111 [at least!] including both the reported deaths and some of the unreported ones.

[Note a number of road deaths are unreported by the police/media.]

Land Transport NZ Caught Massaging Road Death Toll, Again!

Posted by te2ataria on March 6, 2009

New Zealand Rule: By Way of Deception

Perfidious pakeha are caught massaging numbers for the road deaths in New Zealand, AGAIN!

Previously you read that  according to the perfidious pakeha at the Ministry of Transport the road death toll for 2008 was 359.

According to our contact, one of a handful of “pious pakeha,” however, the actual figure was 557 kills. See: New Zealand road toll for 2008 rose by at least 13% to 557 kills.

So Who was Telling the Truth?

Our insider guy, of course! We know that because:

1. He had nothing to gain, but risked losing everything by revealing the truth.
2. His figures were confirmed by the blog’s statistical model.

Massaging the road death toll – AGAIN

Had you visited the Road death statistics page at Land Transport NZ website at http://www.ltsa.govt.nz/research/toll.html on February 26, 2009, you would have noticed that the road deaths for the year to date were 66 dead. [The figure was already heavily massaged by omitting about 7 to 11 additional road deaths, however, other than our contact’s input, which accurately corresponds to the blog’s statistical model, there were no media/external reports of the additional deaths.]

A friend who visited the LTNZ website both yesterday and today [March 6, 2009,] informed me that the published figures for the 2009 road deaths to date stood at 68, and 0 (NIL )for the month of march.  [Check out the website at http://www.ltsa.govt.nz/research/toll.html ]

But how could that be?

Even the censored ‘news’ media have reported 7 [now risen to 8 after a victim died in hospital] additional road deaths since February 26, 2009. Here’s a list of the fatalities as reported:

1. Fatal crash at Waipu

The Moderator and blog contributors are also aware of at least four additional road deaths since February 26, 2009 that have not been reported neither by Big Brother, nor the advertising industry [aka, the news media.]

Tourists Killed on New Zealand Roads

Posted by te2ataria on July 16, 2008

submitted by a reader

Just How Many?

In 2000, the number of New Zealand road accidents causing injuries was 7,447. In 2006, the figure rose to 10,738 – the highest since 1995. Statistics provided by the Ministry of Transport [invariably economical with the truth] show that in the same period, the number of hospitalizations also rose by about a quarter (25%), to 7,427. (Source)

The Moderators estimate that the number of road accidents causing injuries was about 15,000 in 2007. However the exact figure may never be revealed by New Zealand un-authorities.

According to Land Transport NZ, the road kills for the last 12 months, as at 16 Jul 2008, were 412, nearly 3 percent higher than same period last year. In all probability, however, the LTNZ figures too have been heavily doctored. The actual figures may be a lot higher, but we’ll never know for sure what the exact numbers were!

The Moderators also estimate that tourists visiting New Zealand could account for as many as 50 to 60 percent of all casualties. But, other than the NZ govt., victims and their families, no one else would ever know the extent of this “accidental” butchery.

So, once again, to New Zealand Govt:

Tell the World How Many Visitors are Murdered or killed in New Zealand Each Year!
