Residents in Waverley told to boil water

Water supply in the South Taranaki town of Waverley has proved positive for E-coli bacteria and residents have been told to boil water.

“Routine tests have detected the bacteria Escherichia coli in the Waverley Water Supply, and investigations are now underway to find the source,” said South Taranaki District Council.

“Residents are advised to boil all water used for drinking, brushing teeth or for food preparation until further notice.”

“Bringing water to the boil is enough to kill all bugs (however, we recommend boiling water for about 1 minute).”

“Anyone showing symptoms of sickness should visit their doctor as soon as possible,” the official statement said.

South Taranaki District [population of 28,000] is located on the west coast of New Zealand’s North Island and contains the towns of Hawera, Manaia, Opunake, Patea, Eltham, and Waverley.

Only in New Zealand: Fairy Tale Ending for Teenage Murderer

Indian dairy owner’s teenage killer paroled and sent back to school

A teenager who stabbed and killed an Indian dairy worker in West Auckland has been released from a youth justice facility.

Arun Kumar, 57, was killed in June 2014 after being stabbed by a then-14-year-old and his 12-year-old friend.

The teenager, who was granted permanent name suppression in High Court, was found guilty of Kumar’s manslaughter [NOT murder, of course] and jailed for six years, but later released on appeal.

Just Like That!

The racist, shameful, frigging judges in the “Court of Appeal ruled the sentencing judge failed to take into full consideration the effects a traumatic brain injury had on his behaviour on the day of Kumar’s death.”

If the teenage murderer had a brain injury, why wasn’t  he kept under some kind of supervision?

Why is he now set free and sent back to school, where he can kill again?

How wealthy/ well-connected  is his family?

Why did the court fail to take into account the victim’s right to live?

Wasn’t Arun Kumar conveniently eliminated from the “justice” equation because he was an Indian, and therefore expendable?

“What did I do wrong? Why do you have kill so many Indians in New Zealand with impunity?” Slain Henderson dairy owner Arun Kumar, 57. Photo: supplied/via stuff NZ

Myrtle rust spreads to new region

A positive detection of myrtle rust has been made in the Waikato region.

The fungal plant disease was identified in a small number of plants at a nursery in Te Kuiti. The new location was found as a result of MPI tracing sales of plants from another positive nursery.

MPI has personnel on the ground in Te Kuiti and restrictions are in place on the movement of risk goods from the property. The property will be treated with fungicide.

As with all other finds to date, MPI will continue to search surrounding areas for signs of the fungus.

This new find, along with a further 3 properties in Taranaki, brings the total number of confirmed infected properties to 16 nationally.

The majority of properties are in Taranaki with just 2 confirmed in Northland and the one new Waikato find.  http://www.mpi.govt.nz/news-and-resources/media-releases/myrtle-rust-find-in-new-region/

It’s unclear at this stage, whether her death is related to other IT workers found dead in New Zealand since last year.

Coincidentally, she was the second Indian Woman called “Gurpreet Kaur” to be murdered [or found dead] in NZ in just over a year.

Appeal denied for man who murdered Auckland woman Gurpreet Kaur

A young, pregnant woman, also called “Gurpreet Kaur”, was murdered in April 2016. The 22-year-old victim was stabbed 20 times by her partner, a report said.

“According to the Court of Appeal judgment, [her 24 year-old partner who was simply named] Akash was under the influence of methamphetamine when Kaur told him in April 2016 she wanted to break off their 12-month relationship, and that the baby she was carrying was not his.”

Police Road Fatality Reports: Extreme Censorship in Effect to “Compensate” for   quintuple “road kills” on Saturday, April 30

  • Only two road fatality reports allowed by police today (Sunday), but none on Friday or Saturday, a near statistical impossibility, despite dozens of serious crashes that have been reported locally this weekend.
  • ONLY six fatality reports have been allowed since the quintuple road kills on Saturday, April 30.
  • Mayhem on the Bay of Plenty [of Deaths]: “Bay police are frustrated after attending more than 20 crashes across the Western Bay in just four days,” said a report. At least 46 people were killed across Bay of Plenty [of Deaths] region last year – almost double the 2015’s road toll of 29. [And we are only talking doctored police reports!]
  • CORRECTION: The two tourists killed in the crash on Main South Road, Bankside, Canterbury on Thursday 4 May, 2017 were 29-year old Ms Ong See Yee and 38-year-old Mr Chin Tze Hau, both from Singapore, police said. They were 29-year old Ms Ong See Yee and 38-year-old Mr Chin Tze Hau, both from Singapore.
  • Based on insider information, statistical models and local news, We believe about 900 people were killed and 8,000 others seriously/critically injured on NZ suicide roads in 2016; however, only 328 fatalities were reported last year.

Bar pulls humorous Facebook post linking Orthodox Jew with value meal deal [after threats]

In France, and several other European countries, you could end up in prison for raising your arms in various sequences, even if you despise Nazis.

This post featured on De Post Belgian Beer Cafe’s Facebook page on Saturday morning advertising a value meal deal –platter and drinks for $45. It was accompanied by a photo of an Orthodox Jew with the words “Now that’s … a bargain.” Photo: Facebook/ via NZherald

The ad may be humourous, but it most certainly isn’t offensive or critical of the Jews. Now let’s apply Voltaire’s famous quote with a minor adjustment:

“A $55,000 “odour suppression unit” is working days and many nights to mask the wretched stench coming from Wellington’s sewage – but it is still not enough.

“The blame went straight to the door of Veolia, the French multinational company contracted to run the Wellington sewage plant until 2020, Waste Operations landfill manager Darren Hoskins said.”

Where would NZ govt move to if catastrophic quakes razed Wellington, other cities?

Posted by te2ataria on May 6, 2017

Breaking News: One Hell of a “Moderate” Quake Hits Blenheim

Magnitude 4.5 quake hit at 7:53:50 pm today, at a depth of 37km, about 10 km north-west of Blenheim, with 3,076 felt reports received from around the country, as of posting, according to Geonet website.

Police Road Fatality Reports: Extreme Censorship in Effect to “Compensate” for last Saturday’s quintuple “road murders”

  • No road fatality report allowed by police today (Saturday), as of posting, despite at least eight serious crashes that have been reported locally.
  • ONLY  four fatalities reports have been allowed since last Saturday’s quintuple road kills.

-oo-8-oo-

What’s the best thing that could happen to New Zealand government?

What are the alternatives for a seat of government, if catastrophic earthquakes hit Wellington, Auckland, Christchurch, and six to nine other cities, in a short period of time?

“The cost of repairing Wellington after an earthquake similar in magnitude to the one that struck Christchurch in 2011 would be at least $26 billion,” according to a report jointly prepared by Deloitt and a dilettante engineering firm.

However, the report conveniently leaves out two vital questions:

  1. What if the quake was two or more orders of magnitude larger than the 2011 Christchurch Earthquake?
  2. What if more than one mega quake razed Wellington and as many as nine other New Zealand cities within a short period of time?

“My understanding is that if it was that big an event, if the Hikurangi Trench ruptured, then Wellington wouldn’t be the only place affected. It would be a national emergency,” said Former Wellington mayor Fran Wilde.

Correction: Young couple from Singapore killed in record time on NZ death roads

The victims, believed to by Dutch tourists [unconfirmed,] were killed in a head-on crash between a Jucy rental van and an ute on State Highway 1, south of Dunsandel, about 40km south of Christchurch just after 1pm on Thursday.

The victims, aged in their mid 20s to early 30s, are said to have arrived in New Zealand about two hours earlier.

Driver of the other vehicle has sustained non-life threatening injuries.

At least two people killed on the same spot four years ago, fate of other victims unknown
Gaurav Bhabhera, aged 28, an Indian national, and Marae Judy Dean, aged 52, of Ashburton, driver of the second vehicle involved in the head-on crash were killed. Mr Bhabhera’s wife, Jaina Bhabhera, remained in a critical condition in Christchurch Hospital’s intensive care unit, some three days after the crash. Her fate is currently unknown.

Police implicitly accused the Indian victim of making the exact same mistake: “Sergeant Jones says Police are not speculating on the cause of the crash at this stage, but investigations are looking at possible contributing factors including unfamiliarity with conditions and driver distraction.”  http://www.police.govt.nz/news/release/names-bankside-crash-victims-released

Gaurav Bhabhera, aged 28, an Indian national, and Marae Judy Dean, aged 52, of Ashburton, driver of the second vehicle involved in the head-on crash, were killed. Mr Bhabhera’s wife, Jaina Bhabhera, remained in a critical condition in Christchurch Hospital’s intensive care unit, some three days after the crash. Her fate is currently unknown.

Tourist Death Record
The previous “death record” was held by a French national, Remi Morilleau, 27, who was killed in a three-car crash in Northland on Christmas Day just hours after arriving in New Zealand.

“The tourist’s partner and the driver of another car suffered serious injuries and two children were treated for minor injuries after the crash on State Highway 1 near Whangarei about 6.45pm on Christmas Day,” according to a report.

The French couple had been in NZ for about 4 hours, driving just 160km from Auckland airport.

“The data strongly suggests the balloon has developed a leak [just three days after its lunch.] This is an unfortunate development in our test flight, but we’re gaining some important data from this mission that will apply to future flights,” said the wasteful agency’s balloon incompetent programme director, Debbie Fairbrother.

A. Time for self reflection before you get the answer!

F**K Off Mr Prime Minister!
Starting in 2018, Australian government would most likely withdraw subsidies for New Zealand citizens enrolling in tertiary education courses, making them fee-paying students, said a report.

English said on Tuesday he was unhappy with Australian policies that undermined traditions of equal treatment. “We want a serious discussion with them about where they’re headed with this policy rather than announcements that are made either without telling us, or at short notice.”

“We’re pretty unhappy about it. It shows what happens when you’ve got government deficits … this is one area where they think they can make some savings.”

“[As  such we have instructed our Minister of Foreign Affairs Gerry Brownlee, all 220kg of him,  to go to Australia within a week] conveying our unhappiness about it.”

The policy change would affect  about 6,000 of the 8,000 Kiwis who are studying in Australia, fat Gerry believes.

What have Australian received from Kiwis in return for all the bygone years of “equal” treatment, other than hardened criminals, pathological and life-course  persistent offenders?
