HOW CAN ANYONE TRUST THE GOVERNMENT?
Are they really that dumb, or do they think the public are too stupid?
511 + 53 = 564 [“right” answer, assuming the daily sub-totals have not been doctored –ED]
511 + 53 = 562 [WRONG]
The total number of Covid19 infections, assuming the government is telling the truth and have not made any other “mis-takes”, were 511 as of August 29.
Some 53 additional cases were reported on Aug 30, assuming the government didn’t hide any of the infections, bringing the total to 564 cases.
How was the total number of infections “downsized” to 562?
A paragraph of the report (encircled in red), as shown, reads:
There are 522 cases that have been clearly epidemiologically-linked to another case or sub-cluster, and a further 42 for which links are yet to be fully established.
522 + 42 = 564 [Amazing!]
As for NZ media, they just print whatever government tells them to print, without so much as verifying whether the FAKE numbers tally up!

A top Covid expert says if the virus spreads further amongst essential workers then the government will need to introduce a level four point five, including having all such workers vaccinated.

“The Coronavirus is here forever. This is how we live with it”; That was the rather foreboding headline from a recent article in The Atlantic which quoted leading medical authorities, including New Zealander Dr Richard Webby.
An infectious disease researcher at St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Tennessee, Dr Webby knows a thing or two about big, bad diseases, having been an early responder during the 1997 Hong Kong avian flu outbreak (for which he later developed a vaccine).

At least 53 new cases of Covid-19 linked to the Delta community outbreak were reported on Aug 30, bringing the total number of cases to 564.
– Auckland will remain at alert level 4 for another 2 weeks until 14 September. Cabinet will consider next steps for the region on 13 September.
– Northland likely to move to level 3 from midnight Thursday.
– Cabinet has confirmed all of New Zealand south of Auckland will move to level 3 from 11.59pm on Tuesday night.
– The government is also considering additional restrictions under alert level 4 to prevent transmission occurring in the workplace, Prime Minister said.
– There are 562 community cases in the country; 547 in Auckland and 17in Wellington
– 37 cases are in hospital – five are in ICU.
– More than 60 percent of cases are under 30.
– The government is awaiting test results from wastewater in Northland, and tests from people who were at locations of interest. If they all came back clear Northland could move to alert level 3 at 11.59 pm on Thursday.
