Tanker driver in triple fatal Patea crash found dead
The driver of a tanker involved in a deadly crash which killed three people in South Taranaki on February 25 has been found dead.
Chantelle Giles, John Bayne and Cherylene Bayne were killed after a Fonterra milk tanker collided with the car the trio were in on Egmont St in Patea.

Two people were killed in ‘tragic crash’ near Kaikoura
Two people were killed in a crash between a truck and a car on State Highway 1, south of Kaikoura at 1.30pm on Monday.

Petrol-bomb attack on family in Waikato
Police are appealing for information after a home in Waikato was fire-bombed, forcing the family – and their dog – to flee.
Tenant Tony Menzies was home with his partner, Kelly Ann Myers, and her children, a 6-year-old boy and an eight-month-old boy and their dog.
The arsonist left a threatening note which was found under a brick in the driveway. It was the fourth note of its kind the family had received in less than a month and just last week, their fence was lit on fire.
