Lake Taupo no-go zone declared

After a swarm of earthquakes  struck the area on the southwest edge of Lake Taupo,  Civil Defense feared  a major landslide above the small Waihi Village, declaring a no=go zone.

“About 50 residents of the village were evacuated from their homes last night, as fears grew of a landslide at the Hipaua Thermal Area above the village following a series of earthquakes and heavy rain in the area.”

Tourists could easily have been killed in nightmare cruise

Passengers and crew are extremely luck to escape death on a cruise ship rocked by a severe storm north of New Zealand last year, according to an official report.

“The Pacific Sun rolled up to 31 degrees, injuring 77 of the more than 2000 people on board the P&O cruise ship bound for Auckland on July 30.”

“The report, by British maritime officials, obtained by The Herald on Sunday but not yet shown to passengers, concluded it was “pure good fortune” that no one was more seriously injured or even killed by unsecured equipment and furnishings.”

‘Line 7’ goes into receivership

Line 7, a kiwi company which produced outdoor gear and, casual wear and a line of other items has gone into receivership, blaming the economy and the kiwi dollar.

Line 7 runs 11 stores, employing 110 staff locally and reportedly exports its Chinese manufactured products to Australia, Britain, the US and the Caribbean.

“It’s just bloody sad, to be fair, but it’s my fault, it’s nobody else’s.” Owner director Ross Munro said.

“Fundamentally I just think the business model over the last few months hasn’t worked,” Munro said.

The business model? You mean the colonial business model of manufacturing in China, selling in Australia … and scooping the cream off in New Zealand?

pakeha rapes woman and takes her money for ‘services rendered’

A 30-year-old woman who was walking alone on Victoria St, Auckland, New Zealand, Was dragged to  the city’s Victoria Park  early  Sunday morning and raped.

“As she headed towards the intersection of Halsey-Wellesly streets she was attacked from behind and dragged to an area of bush in the park, where she was raped.” A report said.

The rapist then demanded money from the victim, ran to Victoria St West and hailed a cab.

Despite police attempts to pin the crime on Maori (or Polynesians), the victim insisted that  her attacker was a blond Caucasian in his 30s, 1.72 m tall  and muscular.

Ngapuhi’s Tass is OUR Uncle!

“Successive governments had conspired to rob Maori of their birthright, leaving many feeling disconnected, poverty-stricken and disadvantaged,” Ngapuhi’s Tass Davis

Maori elders  are staging a month-long civil disobedience campaign, by way of occupation-style sit-ins, targeting courthouses, courtrooms and judges’ homes around Auckland.

“The Sunday News report said the campaign would involve targeting the homes of high-profile judges and occupying courtrooms to draw attention to calls for a Maori sovereign nation.” NZPA reported.

The events coordinator Tass Davis, who is coordinating up to 500 elders from several iwi, is the uncle of  Hone Harawira, the Te Tai Tokerau MP.

“I am not surprised at all he is behind this,” Mr Harawira said.

“I will not tell my uncle not to do this. If he feels passionate about it then I say, more power to him.”

“People should be entitled to do things that are true to their hearts,” Harawira said.

Maori Party spokesman Derek Fox said his party does “not support any illegal activity.”

“We prefer to leave matters to the court to be sorted,” Fox was reported as telling Sunday News.

Mr Davis, 75, a former Auckland police constable, expects 500 Maori elders to attend the non-violent campaign.

“Successive governments conspired to rob Maori of their birthright, leaving many feeling disconnected, poverty-stricken and disadvantaged,” he said.

According to various reports, the Diplomatic Protection Squad, the SAS and other police-army paramilitary squads were put on alert last night.

Prime Minister John Key was reported as “doing kaka in his trousers.” He summoned courage to say that an MP should not be encouraging “illegal behaviour.”

“It is not good form to encourage anyone to break the law,” he keyed in.

However, he forgot to mention in what way peaceful protests by dispossessed elderly could even be remotely regarded as breaking the law, especially the repressive New Zealand laws.

Understandably Maori justice issues are highly emotional ones.

Earlier this month, John Junior Popata, 33, and Wikatana Popata, 19, were convicted of assaulting John Key outside Te Tii Marae in February.

“Kaikohe District Court was told the brothers assaulted the prime minister ‘in a rush of blood’ because of their concern over land being confiscated from Maori.” A report said.

It remains to be seen whether Key will stay in New Zealand or seek protection in the Middle East!

New Zealand Kills Two More Germans

Two more female tourists believed to be German Nationals were killed in New Zealand

The two victims were reportedly driving on West Coast Road, Kohukohu, about 50km southeast of Kaitaia, when their rental car, most likely a defective vehicle, went out of control and landed in a stream this morning.

No further details have been released.

Kamikaze kiwi driver injures 4 US tourists, one critically, two others seriously

Kamikaze kiwi Sheryl Ann McFarlane, 57, was killed in a head-on collision with a vehicle carrying a family of four American tourists on State Highway 6, near Wakefield, New Zealand, about 10.30am Wednesday.

A 54-year-old American female is in a critical condition in intensive care with serious head and facial injuries at Wellington Hospital.

A 55-year-old American male man with leg, chest and head injuries and a 20-year-old American man with head injuries are both in intensive care in Nelson Hospital. A fourth American, a 23-year-old woman, received back and pelvic injuries, however, her condition is not believed to be life-threatening.

Ms McFarlane, from Belgrove near Wakefield, New Zealand,  crossed the center line kamikaze style and collided head-on with the rental car.

The American tourists don’t seem to have been taught how to  avoid kiwi kamikazes who take on foreign visitors while playing chicken with cars on New Zealand Highways.

Airbus Must Come Clean

The Moderators have been expecting another Air New Zealand Airbus A320 to plunge into the sea (again), based on the airline’s safety statistics, but Air France beat the kiwis to it!

The probability remains that the next major air disaster would occur as a result of an Air New Zealand Airbus crashing into the sea [with a certainty of 0.74]

Air New Zealand plane flew with cracked windshield

An Air New Zealand plane en route from Auckland to Wellington was forced to turn back this morning after pilots noticed a crack in the cockpit windscreen.

A spokeswoman for the airline said the crack had appeared in the outer pane of the Captain’s side cockpit window.

“Pilots followed standard operating procedure and returned to Auckland as a precautionary measure,” she said.

“The aircraft landed without incident at Auckland, with passengers re-accommodated on an alternative aircraft.”

The plane is being inspected by engineers and is expected to return to service later today.

Air NZ Jumbo jet makes emergency landing in Canada

An Air New Zealand Boeing 747-400 on a trans-Atlantic flight from London Heathrow to Los Angeles was diverted to Goose Bay, in Labrador region, Canada, making an emergency landing after pilot had dumped about three tons of aviation  fuel.

According to the Aviation Herald online, a passenger suffered a heart attack, however Air New Zealand declined to give any details.

Recurring murder déjà vu: University tutor on trial for  murdering his student-girlfriend by stabbing her 216 times

Sophie Elliott’s murder was just as cruel and senseless, though consistent in brutality and psychological signature of kiwi personality traits, as the murder of  Caroline Coffey, Marie Davis and hundreds of other female victims in New Zealand, or by a New Zealander. All these kiwi murders share the same kiwi code of “sexual dominance through extreme violence.”

The Victim

Sophie Elliott was stabbed 216 times.

Former Otago University tutor Clayton Weatherston is standing trial in the High Court at Christchurch, charged with the murder of his student-lover Sophie Elliott.

The scumbag is believed to have stabbed Elliott to death in Dunedin on January 9, 2008. She received 216 stab wounds at her family home in Ravensbourne.

“The trial was scheduled to begin in the High Court at Christchurch today but the pre-trial arguments began at 10am and after a short delay the jury panel was sent away.” A report said.

“The case was moved from Dunedin to Christchurch in February, after an application by defence counsel Judith Ablett-Kerr, QC, but the reasons for the move were suppressed (!) ” It was reported.

“Weatherston was ordered to stand trial after a depositions hearing midway through last year at which 17 witnesses gave evidence.”

UPDATE:

Weatherston denies the murder charge but admitted he was guilty of manslaughter. You could just about imagine his court whore (lawyer) saying:

“Your honor, it was a routine manslaughter that went a little TOO FAR by way of an additional 215 stab wounds!”
