Pike River mine families shafted again by NZ government

Did you see the F**KING PM [John Key] on the News YESTERDAY?

His face looked as pale as panda feces; his body language said it all. He knew  decision to seal the fate of the miners was already made. The government was not going to get any of them out of the blasted mine alive, and they needed a “closure” at explosive speeds!

“It is our belief that no-one has survived and everyone will have perished,” police superintendent Gary Knowles told reporters. He knew the Army had blown up the mine on PM’s order to have an excuse for wrapping up the rescue operations in Pike River coalmine.

NZ Army killed two Australians, two Britons, a South African and 24 New Zealanders. [Zombie Democracy: Apartheid Fort NZ Bog]

‘Inside the Pike River mine – what police never showed the families’ —Newshub

The video shows a robot going down the mine’s tunnel.

It has to dodge a hanging pipe and it comes across one of its own kind – the wreckage of a capsized robot that failed – before dodging its way past.

It’s very wet and the footage shows the robot needs some help, with two men inside too.

Wearing Mines Rescue uniforms and using breathing apparatus, they work casually and without gloves using a pocketknife and duct tape to make a piece of cardboard into a roof.

The robot’s journey ends when it gets to an abandoned loader as its way is blocked.

It gets into trouble – overheating – and emitting what appears to be smoke.

Until now, this video has been kept from the families of the 29 men killed, like Dean Dunbar, father of 17-year-old Joe Dunbar.

The footage is six years old, date-stamped March 15, 2011 – three months after the final explosion, and held by police ever since.

“How could they do this to Joseph and the other guys? Why?” Mr Dunbar says.

“They’ve had the footage; we haven’t.”

The Government, authorities and the mine’s controllers have always maintained it’s too dangerous to enter, which Mr Dunbar rejects.

“They created a situation of absolute danger; they made it look and sound explosive. It’s not,” he says.

“We’re going to peel back that litany of lies and expose it for what it is.”

The robot was in the mine’s access tunnel, known as a “the drift”, which was 2.3km long.

The wreckage it goes past is one of two Army robots, abandoned at either 800m or 1050m.

It gets 1570m down the tunnel, to the loader used by Russell Smith – a survivor who got out.

The final 730m are unexplored.

The families say this is crucial, because at 1900m there is an electrical substation that could have evidence, and also because survivor Daniel Rockhouse escaped from about that point as well – meaning there are potentially bodies left behind.

The mine was in police control at the time of the video, but police say it was not passed onto either the families or the Royal Commission because “it was assessed as having no evidential value”.

Mr Dunbar says that with no explosion, it proves going into the tunnel is safe and always has been.

“We shouldn’t have to convince the good people of New Zealand that your Government has been lying to you for so long, and we shouldn’t have to. These guys deserve better, mate,” he says.

Good riddance, you disgusting hyena

UNFORTUNATELY, it’s eight years too late!

John Key quits after quadrupling his ill-gotten wealth in eight years while doubling as PM.

John Key has announced his resignation as Prime Minister of New Zealand, citing family reasons for leaving!!

The vampires will hold a meeting next Monday (December 12) to decide the new party leader and Prime Minister.

Key has already endorsed blood-sucking Bill English as his replacement.

“Whoever the caucus votes for will have my unwavering support, but if Bill English puts his name forward then I will vote for him.

“For 10 years now Bill and I have worked closely as a team. I have witnessed first-hand his leadership style, his capacity for work, his grasp of the economy, his commitment to change and most of all his decency as a husband, as a father, a colleague and as a politician.”

Key, calling himself “a commercial guy,” has been promoted by his stable-masters to take up board positions, possibly with companies in Australia.

To whose advantage would a sociopath, insensitive multimillionaire eradicate child poverty?

Posted by te2ataria on October 4, 2016

PM on measuring and targeting child poverty: “watch my lips!”

[To eliminate poverty, you must redistribute wealth evenly across the “nation.” Do you honestly see the Mammon-worshiping Key, one of the embodiments of Satan in New Zealand, parting with his ill-gotten wealth anytime soon?  –Moderator]

John key has refused to measure and target child poverty, “preferring a model that focuses on particular issues affecting at-risk children, such as rheumatic fever.”

So, a child cannot be said to be living in poverty, unless he is afflicted with rheumatic fever?

NZ PM compares stats on kids in poverty to counting rats!

“it’s more binary in terms of whether there’s a rat, a stoat or a possum there or whether there isn’t because you can understand that”, said the self-declared “smiling assassin.”

Child Poverty in New Zealand

UNICEF: About 305,000 New Zealand children spend their childhoods living in poverty.

[Moderators Notes:
NZ population: 4.72 million.
Age structure changes in year ended 30 June 2016: Children (aged 0–14 years) were 19.6 percent (921,500) of the population at 30 June 2016, according to Statesticals NZ. That makes very nearly 1 in every 3 kids living in poverty.]

New Zealand has the highest rates of inequality among the OECD countries. In 2015, the top 10% of households owned 60% of total wealth, while the bottom 40% held just 3%. European people’s individual net worth was $114,000; Asian people’s $33,000; Māori people’s $23,000; and Pacific people’s individual net worth at under $12,000.

We have about 305,000 children living in poverty and half of them go without basic needs, according to the Office of the Children’s Commissioner. Three out of five children living in poverty, that’s over 183,000 children, are living in “persistent poverty” and will live that way for many years.

Bottom Line?

The shameless assassin, sociopath Key will not set a target to fight child poverty in New Zealand.

Frigging cop goes to court to keep ‘licensce to kill’

Rotorua area commander Inspector Horne sticks to his guns: The right to use police car as a lethal weapon!

A senior police officer accused of being in a driving incident in his police car could lose his licence, and possibly his job,  if he fails to overturn his latest driving infringement notice.

Rotorua area commander Inspector Bruce Horne has reportedly filed a suit to fight his own police force in court, forcing Commissioner Mike Bush to stand him down from “duties.”

In this backward country, we call it freedom  of information

Bush refused an interview. And Horne would say only that it was not related to speeding and he still carried a full licence. “It’s an issue between me and some other people and is not public information. I have nothing more to add,” he said on Saturday.

Police have been very reticent to disclose details of the June incident.  They refuse to say when it happened, where it happened, what type of driving offence he was accused of, or what other people were involved.

Horne is a hands-on type of guy. In April 2013, he was beaten in the car park of a  Wellington supermarket “while five staff and a security guard looked on and smiled.”

One-third of all New Zealand children live below the poverty line

Posted by te2ataria on August 30, 2016

Sent by reader in Sewage City [aka, “Wellington”]

About 100,000 New Zealanders are HOMELESS

“We have normalised child poverty as a society – that a certain level of need in a certain part of the population is somehow OK,” says Vivien Maidaborn, executive director of Unicef New Zealand.

“The empathy Kiwis are famous for has hardened. Over the last 20 years we have increasingly blamed the people needing help for the problem.

“If you can’t afford your children to have breakfast, you’re a bad budgeter. If you aren’t working you’re lazy. But our subconscious beliefs about some people ‘deserving’ poverty because of poor life choices no longer apply in today’s environment. We have to ask ourselves as a society, are we really prepared to let our children grow up this way?”

For a third of New Zealand children the Kiwi dream of home ownership, stable employment and education is just that – a dream.

For poor children in the developed South Pacific nation of 4.5 million illnesses associated with chronic poverty are common, including developing world rates of rheumatic fever (virtually unknown by doctors in comparable countries such as Canada and the UK), and respiratory illnesses.

Meals are irregular and nutritionally poor, consisting of meat pies, hot chips and 99c white bread. School attendance may be patchy or skipped entirely, and protective clothing and footwear for the harsh New Zealand climate is a luxury.

New Zealand’s most shameful statistic:

  • A third of ALL New Zealand children, or 300,000, now live below the poverty line – 45,000 more than a year ago – and twice as many as did in 1984.

Unicef’s definition of child poverty in New Zealand: Children living in households who earn less than 60% of the median national income – NZ$28,000 a year, or NZ$550 a week.

  • Cost of renting a garage in Auckland to live in:  search the net!

[Rent in New Zealand is 26.04% higher than in Sweden – average data for all cities.]

Quotes by Poverty Experts:

  • “If the homeless population were a hundred people, 70 are staying with extended family or friends in severely crowded houses, 20 are in a motel, boarding house or camping ground, and 10 are living on the street, in cars, or in other improvised dwellings,” said University of Otago researcher Dr Kate Amore.
  • “It is interesting the world believes New Zealand to be an ideal country. But it’s more interesting that we also believe that myth about ourselves.” says Hirini Kaa, an academic on the management committee for Child Poverty Action Group, and an Anglican pastor.
  • “Poor children in New Zealand don’t fully participate in life, they miss out on so many things that make life rich and meaningful. Like music, like sport, like a full education, like the expectation that they will grow up and find a job. The momentum in these young lives becomes about survival, nothing else,” says Linda Murphy, a social worker with the Auckland City Mission.
  • “The consistent message from the government is that work is the route out of poverty, even though around 37% of children in poverty have two parents with two incomes. The government is doing as little as they can get away with … the most significant action they’ve taken is increasing the benefit by about $25 a week for beneficiaries with kids. That’s it – that’s the biggest thing they’ve done,” says associate professor Michael Anthony O’Brien from the school of social work at Auckland University.
  •  “We have to stop blaming the poor for being poor. The myth that these families are somehow inherently dysfunctional and they can’t look after their kids. That is not true. That children are failing because their families are bad. It is not true. The state is abusive, the welfare system is abusive, and after decades of this many people can’t cope,” says Darrin Hodgetts, a professor of societal psychology at Massey University and an expert on poverty in New Zealand, adding that the government’s stance that jobs would lead poor families out of poverty was nothing more than propaganda.

Figures published by the shameful government:

NZ Population: 4,710,404 [As at Tuesday, 30 Aug 2016 at 05:11:54 p.m.| Pop clock

New Zealand’s population is estimated to increase by one person every 5 minutes and 2 seconds. This is based on the estimated resident population at 30 June 2016 and the following forecasts:

  • One birth every 9 minutes
  • One death every 15 minutes

Plus

  • A net migration gain of one resident every 6 minutes and 29 seconds.

US Supreme Court Judge Ruth Ginsburg to raise cattle in NZ?

Super wealthy US Supreme Court judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg picks NZ over Trump

The US Supreme Court judge Ginsburg says she would move to NZ should the NY fraudster and serial conman Donald [Charlatan] Trump win the U.S. presidential election.

The super rich judge, with an estimated wealth of $50 million, would probably buy a large farm and raise cattle like her distant cousin Chief Justice Dame Sian Elias.

She would, no doubt, feel right at home in New Zealand, surrounded by Elias and hundreds of other super rich relatives such as John Key.

Could the average Aucklander ever afford an average house in Auckland?

Posted by te2ataria on July 6, 2016

Sent by “I Love JOKEY”

Don’t be stupid!

The average price of a home in Auckland: $1 million.

A professional individual on a salary of $49,000 can borrow up to $336,000 [a minimum 10% deposit of $38,000 is required.]

“You’d be looking at repayments of $1,937 per month over a 30 year loan length, based on an interest rate of 5.64% p.a.” says ANZ website.

Monthly salary after tax and deductions: $2,450
Monthly mortgage payment: $1,937
Change left in your pocket: $513  [before house insurance, utility bills, car, food…]
Loan amount: $336,000
Total interest: $361,460
Your total cost: $697,460

But $336,000 would only buy you a third of a house in Auckland.

What if he got married to another professional earning a similar salary?
On a joint annual salary of $98,000, they (ANZ) estimate you could borrow up to $661,000 [allow at least 7 years to save the required minimum 10% deposit of $74,000. Be sure to use birth control!]

“You’d be looking at repayments of $3,811 per month over a 30 year loan length, based on an interest rate of 5.64% p.a.”, says ANZ.

Monthly mortgage payment: $3,811
Loan amount: $661,000
Total interest: $711,086
Your total cost: $1,372,086

But $661,000 would only buy you two-thirds of a house in Auckland.

What if three people got involved and somehow the bank allowed a mortgage on the combined salaries?

“We estimate you could borrow up to $1,067,000. You’d be looking at repayments of $6,152 per month over a 30 year loan length, based on an interest rate of 5.64% p.a. With a minimum 10% deposit of $119,000”, ANZ said.

I can tell you dumbasses any shit I want!

Housing crisis? What housing crisis? In 2007, Mr Key said there was a severe home ownership and affordability crisis in New Zealand. Today, the government acknowledges housing affordability is a challenge but refuses to call it a crisis, despite the fact that average house price in Auckland has almost doubled,   reaching nearly $1 million. Cheapjack Chinese train makers repeatedly told “no asbestos”

“Chinese manufacturers were repeatedly told there should be no asbestos in trains they were manufacturing for KiwiRail, new information confirms”, according to a report.

Regardless, 40 of the 48 locomotives made for KiwiRail were contaminated and had to be taken out of service when asbestos was discovered; the have still not been completely cleaned up more than five years later.

A backroom deal by the PM over the purchase of KiwiRail locomotives is coming back to haunt the government, says New Zealand First.

“The PM and Minister Steven Joyce have some explaining to do. Why did the KiwiRail tender for the locos get re-opened when they visited China,” says New Zealand First Leader and Northland MP Rt Hon Winston Peters.

“There were already four companies shortlisted, none from China. The PM’s intervention wreaked of a backroom deal done on that trip. He meddled in the market with no concern for KiwiRail.

“Despite this sweet deal the Chinese makers did not comply with KiwiRail’s instructions and delivered dangerous goods.

“This is the price of doing favours and rushing in to sign up for cheaper foreign products.

“We are being landed with substandard rubbish – right now we are paying the price for importing shoddy steel and poor plumbing products.

“Buying New Zealand made, if possible, should be the mantra. When local firms win contracts there is a substantial spin-off to other businesses and communities.

“Economically, we will be a better country feeding our own supply chain.”

Union worried about 25-year warranty

The union said even the Chinese workers might have been exploited, as KiwiRail decided to use them without finding out how much they would be paid and without even caring about the matter one way or another.

“If a company funded by the taxpayer will not create jobs for New Zealanders, who will?” the general secretary of the union, Wayne Butson asked.

The NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) is trusting Steel and Tube to investigate itself [gimme a break!], after the company imported 1600 tonnes of substandard steel for the Huntly bypass.

Record meth haul in Northland, but how much is let through?

Posted by te2ataria on June 14, 2016

Submitted by a reader in Meth City

“Record methamphetamine haul in Northland rivals revenues of NZ’s biggest companies”

Those behind a massive haul of methamphetamine, worth nearly half a billion dollars, seized in Northland were running a business the size of a top 50 company.

The $438 million worth of the illicit drug comes close to Auckland International Airport’s revenue last year of $508.5m.

It’s also not too far off casino operator Sky City’s reported revenue for the first half of this year of $513.7m. It is somewhat shy of Fisher and Paykel Healthcare’s 2015 operating revenue of $623.4m.

However the haul beats fast food operator Restaurant Brands’ latest annual sales of $387.6m. Restaurant Brands owns the KFC, Pizza Hut, Starbucks and Carls Jr franchises. http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/81033787/police-make-record-seizure-of-438-million-of-meth-in-northland

Stop Celebrating

Based on the ever so tiniest fluctuations observed in the street price of meth after each “major bust,” you can easily calculate that for every 1km of the deadly stuff seized, more than 999km are allowed to get through to the suicidal end users [under the protection of authorities.] There’s, of course an ongoing, but one-sided, competition between the “cartel” and non-cartel suppliers. The cartel members have a permanent “advance and collect your money” card, together with “get out of jail free” pass, in case of any inadvertent mistake by police. In a “business” so lucrative nothing is left to chance. Ask the PM. He’s the Key!

Northland Police made the record seizure of methamphetamine in an investigation that started with finding a boat abandoned at 90 Mile Beach.

The seizure outstrips the total combined amount of methamphetamine seized in New Zealand in 2015, which totalled 334kg – and has earned police praise from PM John Key [no doubt.]

So, where does so much drug come from, and where will it go after the photo ops are over? You don’t have to think hard, just follow the money!

“Police were unable to make any comments as to where the methamphetamine came from, not wanting to jeopardise the ongoing investigation [I bet,] but said due to the sheer size of the haul, organised crime was probably somewhere behind it [no shit.]”

Morlocks who decimated life on Earth…

Posted by te2ataria on June 12, 2016

Sent by an Angry Time-Traveler

How did we let these parasites suck our lifeblood? Wasn’t it too obvious?

Did you honestly think parasites like John Key, Jeff Bezos, Donald Trump… became billionaires by playing it straight, without cheating, lying and ripping everyone off?  Think again!

The Story of Amazon [How I became a billionaire by preying on two-legged morons]

Online shoppers are being warned that Amazon’s premium service, which users say stung them with an annual membership fee without adequate warning, will kick in automatically after a 30-day “free trial” period.

Two Wellington users were shocked to discover debits of around $150 on their accounts last month, only to learn they’d chewed through a 30-day free trial of a service called Amazon Prime, then were billed for a year.

Another Kiwi victim, like hundreds of thousands of people across the world, said she didn’t even realise the free trial had been triggered when she purchased a book a month earlier, and happened to spot the charge on her bank statement.

“It said something really strange and I couldn’t make out what it was,” said the woman.

“When I talked to a guy [at her New Zealand bank], before he even had a look he said, ‘I’ll tell you what I think it is, Amazon Prime’. He said ‘this happened to me as well,’ then he checked and confirmed it was Amazon.

“My memory is I unticked [the box] but maybe I didn’t properly,” she said.

Others across the world claim they’ve been stung by the fee after their Amazon Prime trial ran out.

Countless Britons have complained about being stung by a £79 fee for the service once their trial ran out.

“Last year, Britain’s Advertising Standards Authority banned Amazon from sending an advertisement to customers promoting a ‘free trial’ of its Prime service”.

This year, you can save humanity by keeping the parasites off your bloodstream. Pay a few dollars more, buy locally.

It’s time for a Government

Posted by te2ataria on June 9, 2016

Sick and tired of slumlords denying you the most basic human rights?

[John Key and his clique] need to stop joking about homelessness and start building desperately needed homes, said the Green Party.

OCR: Households and businesses still held hostage to housing crisis

The National Government’s failure to fix the Auckland housing crisis continues to keep interest rates higher than they need to be, meaning families and businesses face higher than necessary costs of borrowing, the Green Party said today.

The Reserve Bank today left the Official Cash Rate unchanged at 2.25 percent despite economic conditions that favour lowering the rate, citing risks to the economy from high house prices and a lack of housing supply.

“National’s failure to fix the Auckland housing crisis is forcing the Reserve Bank to keep interest rates higher, hurting families, exporters, and jobs,” Green Party Co-leader James Shaw said.

“If National had tackled the Auckland housing crisis instead of choosing to do as little as possible, households and small businesses could be benefitting from lower interest rates right now.

Slumlords should stop joking about homelessness

At least 177 people sleeping rough within a 3-km radius of the Sky Tower, with another 51 in temporary emergency accommodation, up from 147 people last year, according to the 2016 Auckland City Street Count.

“The Government needs to stop joking about homelessness, as the Prime Minister did in Parliament today, and get on with building more houses,” Green Party social housing spokesperson Marama Davidson said.

“Families sleeping on the floor of marae, or in their cars, would be devastated to hear the Prime Minister joking about whether they’re actually homeless or if they’re just renovating their houses.

“John Key and Paula Bennett both mislead New Zealanders about homeless people not wanting help last week yet neither are prepared to apologise for the hurt they caused. And now they’re joking about homeless families.”

“Clearly, neither John Key nor Paula Bennett have any idea what life is really like for families spat out the rough end of the housing crisis, who genuinely have nowhere to live.

Govt should attack housing crisis, not families in need

National’s has failed New Zealanders on housing. Budget 2016 delivered nothing to give young families a chance to buy their own home. It slashed funding for home insulation by two-thirds. It continued John Key’s cruel policy of taking a $118m a year profit out of Housing New Zealand at the same time families are living in cars because there aren’t enough state houses.

No wonder 76 per cent of Kiwis say there is a housing crisis, and this Government has failed to fix it. Just one in four adults under 40 own their own place today. House prices are rising at 30 times the rate of inflation. 16,000 houses are year are being bought by foreign speculators. Record numbers are living in cars and garages.   http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=11653530

How the average Kiwis are being ‘sodomized’ by PM and his gang

The value of an average home has increased by twice the amount an average worker earns.

  • Average price of a home in Auckland: About $1.2 million
  • House prices average annual growth ($35,000 or 8% in 2015)
  • Average income:  $44,000 (growth of 3.1% in 2015)

Housing affordability in Auckland better than in 2008, says Sick Nmith

Housing affordability is no worse in Auckland than in 2008, says Housing Minister Sick Nmith. [Which is actually true because the average family couldn’t afford to buy a house in 2008 and the average family, sure as hell, can’t afford to buy a house in 2016.]

“[About] 100 per cent of the average person’s income would be required to service their mortgage,” Dr Sick said.

Last year, the typical Auckland property earned about $230 a day – that’s twice what the average worker made in their job, or the same as an entry-level doctor or head of department teacher with responsibility for 10 staff.

“… the price growth was nearly twice the pay of an entry-level nurse and $25,000 more than a constable [earns] in his fifth year as a police officer.”

High Auckland rents forcing people onto the streets – Sallies

People are paying more than 70 percent of their income just for rent.

Homeless crisis: One in 100 Kiwis homeless, and counting

Posted by te2ataria on June 3, 2016

Homelessness in New Zealand skyrocketing: Study

At least one in every 100 Kiwis were homeless in 2013.

The “severely housing deprived” had accelerated from 2006 to 2013, says a study by University of Otago, Wellington.

At least one in every 100 Kiwis were homeless in 2013, this included those living with family and friends.

This figure had increased from 2006 data which showed one in every 120 people were homeless, while in 2001, this was at one in 130 people.  http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/80719962/One-in-100-Kiwis-homeless-new-study-shows-numbers-quickly-rising

Even the manipulated stats are grim:

According to rounded census numbers, in 2001 there were 28,649 people out of total population of 3,744,534 that were homeless (one person out of 130). In 2006 that grew to 33,295 out of 4,059,876 (one in 121) and in 2013 it accelerated to 41,705 out of 4,254,594 (one in 102).

“If the homeless population were a hundred people, 70 are staying with extended family or friends in severely crowded houses, 20 are in a motel, boarding house or camping ground, and 10 are living on the street, in cars, or in other improvised dwellings,” said University researcher Dr Kate Amore.

“They all urgently need affordable housing.”

The number of people in “severe housing deprivation” in 2013 was one in 100, up more than 60 percent in 12 years. Assuming the trend has continued [in fact the trend has accelerated,] there could now be nearly 50,000 Kiwis homeless. http://www.newshub.co.nz/

Meanwhile, Chinese investors are allowed to push up price of the average house in Queentown to  NZ$955,793.

The Homeless Crisis

Corrupt John Key caught lying through his backside again

“Prime Minister John Key’s has said the Ministry of Social Development (MSD) had teamed up with the Salvation Army with homeless people, something the Salvation Army denies.”   http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/politics/80725620/salvation-army-msd-homeless-visits-didnt-happen-and-the-pms-wrong

I can’t guarantee housing for homeless: Social Housing Minister

Social Housing Minister Paula Bennett says there’s no guarantee that homeless families would get a roof over their heads after contacting Work and Income.

Her comments come after Prime Minister John Key said Kiwis living out of cars and garages should contact the welfare agency where they would receive support.

Bennett said Work and Income would try their best to help, but it depended on what support was available.

“Look, I can’t guarantee that,” she said on RNZhttp://www.stuff.co.nz/national/80719962/One-in-100-Kiwis-homeless-new-study-shows-numbers-quickly-rising

At least 27% of all NZ children live below the poverty line [2012 figures]
“Around 285,000 of our children (27% of all children) live below the 60% income line after housing costs, (the poverty line used by the Ministry of Social Development). Many of these children have their lifelong health and education compromised so poverty effects can persist through generations. For 3 out of 5 of those children, poverty persists over at least seven years – for most of their early formative years. Evidence shows that the longer the period on low income, the greater the harm.”  http://www.cpag.org.nz/resources-publications/our-children-our-choice-priorities-for-policy-7/part-one-child-health/

‘Peters: Silver Fern Farm shareholders duped into thinking company needed Chinese buy-in’

Winston Peters is on the warpath, trying to stop what he has said is a takeover of our biggest meat exporter Silver Fern Farms by the Chinese.

Mr Peters said Shanghai Maling was in fact much more in debt than the New Zealand company.
