Fatal Waverly crash claims seventh victim

Eight-year-old Nivek Madams dies in hospital

Two cars collided head on yesterday on SH 3 north of Waverley, killing the four occupants in the first car instantly, as well as a man and a newborn baby girl in the other vehicle. The seventh victim, an eight-year-old girl who sustained critical injuries has since died. Her mother is in intensive care.

The crash is one of the worst on New Zealand’s suicide roads. In 2005, a minivan carrying tourists slammed into a truck near Morrinsville, killing nine visitors.

A woman has died in a one car crash on Whakapirau Road, Maungatoroto, near the intersection with State Highway 12.
Police were called to the crash at 1:25pm after a member of the public noticed skid marks going off the road and down a bank.
The car was found on its roof and the driver and sole occupant had died at the scene.

Intimidating the desperate: Thompson and Clark help SIS, govt agencies to spy-on and intimidate NZers

In a preemptive move, State Services Commissioner Peter Hughes, in all his trustworthiness, has announced that the inquiry into spying by “security” firm Thompson and Clark on Canterbury earthquake claimants would now cover all government agencies.

Aren’t the Canterbury earthquake claimants terrorists, or at least agitators??

As previously reported, the state agency in charge of denying Christchurch earthquake claims, Southern Response, “hired the security company Thompson and Clark to assess risks faced by its staff after the Christchurch earthquakes, but it has also been accused of following and intimidating customers.”

The Security Intelligence Service, SIS, has also launched an internal investigation into leaks in its dealings with the security firm from hell to ensure tighter secrecy in future.

Leaks like emails exchanged between the SIS protective security requirement team member and Gavin Clark from the security firm will no longer be tolerated.

It’s also been claimed that Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) has been in contact with Thompson and Clark for many years, despite the abstract State Services Standards of Integrity and Conduct.

“The council had accused the Defence Force of blocking it from getting the information it needed to investigate the foam.”

Some AFFFs could contain PFAS chemicals, [Horizons science and innovation manager Abby Matthews said. “Those chemicals have contaminated water and land near Ōhakea and Woodburne air force bases, including the Bulls town water supply.”
