What would a “Dependent” Police Conduct Authority look like?
Police hitman who fatally shot man with slasher was justified, says a report issued by the so-called Independent Police Conduct Authority.
Shargin Stephens, 35, allegedly attacked a police patrol car with a “long-handled slasher” in Rotorua last year. He then headed towards a busy area of town and allegedly attacked chasing officers [inconsistency much?]
Several policemen then tasered and pepper-sprayed him multiple times, but were unable to stop him [really?] police also alleged.
A police hitman armed with a high-power, military-style rifle shot him twice. He allegedly died in hospital [not instantly.]

Magnitude 4.4 earthquake jolts lower North Island
A 4.4 magnitude earthquake jolted lower North Island and was felt by more than 3,000 people, Geonet reported.
The quake struck 15km west of Masterton at a depth of 20km at 8.44pm.
