The pair threatened staff [with undisclosed weapons] and entered the office area of the tavern, before making off with a [unspecified] quantity of cash.”

One-year-old Jack Tobin’s life support turned off after fatal Mt Eden crash
A joint funeral will be held next week for a father and his son after a fatal bus collision. Christopher Tobin, 51, was killed on Tuesday after his car collided with a bus in the central Auckland suburb of Mt Eden. “Two of his children in the car, Elle and Jack, were rushed to hospital following the accident. Tragically, 1-year-old Jack’s life support was turned off on Friday and he died later that day.”

Fleeing car spiked by police, crashes, catches fire in south Auckland
“A vehicle fleeing police had its tyres spiked shortly before crashing into a power pole and catching fire in south Auckland.
The collision, in the early hours of Saturday morning, also sent more than 1000 homes into darkness,” a report said.
“The two occupants both got out of the vehicle immediately and soon after the vehicle caught on fire,” police said.
“The driver, a 29-year-old woman, was uninjured and will face numerous charges in the Manukau District Court next month.”
