Smart Japanese Pupils Stay Out of New Zealand

Smart Japanese Schools Don’t Send Their Pupils to New Zealand

There’s always a small minority in Japan who f**k things up for everyone else in their country!

Previously the blog highlighted the reasons why Japanese Students Say “NO!” to New Zealand Homestay

Thousands of Japanese homestay students have so far canceled winter trips to New Zealand, reportedly due to the flu scare.

Well they were the smart guys. Now enter the not-so-smart school authorities from the Yokohama Jogakuin Girls’ School

Not only they risked the health and safety of their pupils by sending them to New Zealand, they will have also posed a serious threat to the health and security of an entire nation. The return of these kids could cause another outbreak of swine flu in their country.

The school employees who were responsible for this stupid and potentially fatal mistake should be prosecuted for negligence.

Here’s the immediate outcome of what the unintelligent Japanese school authorities in Yokohama did:

UPDATE:

Fifty Japanese students, aged about 15, are now known to have been quarantined in a Christchurch hotel with suspected swine flu.

Five Japanese schoolgirls visiting Christchurch have been diagnosed with swine flu.

The pupils were among a group of 213 from Yokohama Jogakuin Girls’ School taking part in activities with Avonside Girls’ High School and Rangi Ruru Girls’ School this week.

Canterbury medical officer of health Alistair Humphrey said about 35 girls had mild flu-like symptoms.

“Not all will be swabbed as it can be assumed that this is a swine-flu cluster,” he said.

All the pupils were prescribed Tamiflu, and those with symptoms would remain in isolation for 72 hours, Humphrey said.

“The teachers that have brought the girls to New Zealand have been very responsible in the way they have responded to the situation and are taking infection-control precautions very seriously.”

The group will leave Christchurch on Tuesday.http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/2973441/Pupils-diagnosed-with-swine-flu/

China stops New Zealanders spreading swine flu

Did the kiwi Doctor know his kids were infected before entering China?

Officials in China stopped kiwi family from spreading swine flu virus

As NZ’s declared number of deaths from swine flu (NZ strain) infection reaches 5, border officials in China quarantined Victoria Aylott, from Parnell, New Zealand, and her family on their arrival in Wenzhou in south-eastern China Friday evening.

Aylott’s two daughters Celeste – who has a broken arm – and Meredith were suspected of carrying H1N1 virus because Chinese officials at the airport found they had high temperatures.

“Celeste, 5, broke her arm at Parnell School three hours before their flight to China.” It’s not known why the family did not cancel their trip to China.

“Her father Caspar Aylott, an orthopaedic surgeon, said the fact that the girls carried swine flu despite appearing fit indicated how many people must be carriers in New Zealand.”

“As a doctor, it says to me that this H1N1 must be endemic. If our children have got it, while fit and well and going to Parnell kindy and school, it must be everywhere.”

The doctor is dead right, of course. AND, as a doctor, he must have at least suspected that her kids were infected with the flu virus.

An informed source, who spoke to the Moderator on the condition of anonymity, said as many as 200,000 people in New Zealand are believed to have been infected with the swine flu (NZ strain) virus.

US Scientist Forced to Backtrack on Swine Flu Origin

Posted by te2ataria on June 2, 2009

sent by a reader in the U.S.

US scientist forced to say “he was misquoted” on the swine flu virus originating in “either New Zealand or China.”

Professor Gus Kousoulas, the director of Louisiana State University’s division of biotechnology and molecular medicine, had been quoted as saying: “We think it [swine flu] began in New Zealand or China,” adding that his conclusion “was based on early phylogenetic analysis of available sequences.”

Kousoulas, subsequently threatened with dismissal by the Board of Regents of LSU, has now backtracked on his earlier findings, saying:  “There is no basis currently to support a New Zealand origin. While we still do not know the true origin, a US or Mexico origin is more likely.”

Professor, is it worth the 30 pieces?

According to one report, quoting The World Health Organization, more than 50 countries have reported about 15,000 cases of influenza A (H1N1), commonly referred to as the ‘swine flu,’ with most of the cases occurring in Mexico and the US.

Of the 99 people who have reportedly died as a result of swine flu infection, 97 were of Hispanic origin. The remaining two had other health complications, possibly worsened by the flu infection.

Despite the backtracking by Kousoulas, a number of informed sources strongly believe the A (H1N1) “Mexican viral variation” was developed at New Zealand’s ESR (a Crown Research Institute wholly owned by the New Zealand Government) and shipped to Mexico for “commercial exploitation.”  The virus was designed to be most effective on a specific genetic sequencing.

Swine Flu Mystery and Air New Zealand

Posted by te2ataria on April 26, 2009

sent by a reader in Palmerston North

Why are so many New Zealanders sickened by swine flu virus, compared with only a few cases in the United States?

Did the virus really originate from Mexico?

Swine Flu Alert!

IF you are flying Air New Zealand, demand that the plane is fumigated immediately before takeoff!

While waiting for your plane to be fumigated, try solving this riddle:

How many ‘A’ are there in New Zealand’s ESR labs?

  • Total number of New Zealanders visiting Mexico City since March 2009: Not very many, possibly a few hundred.
  • Reported number of New Zealanders sickened by Swine flu virus: More than 20 percent of the visitors
  • Total number of US citizens visiting Mexico City or coming into contact with people traveling from MC since March: Hundreds of thousands, possibly millions of citizens
  • Total number of US citizens hit by Swine flu: Less than two dozens
