Like Murder, Extreme Violence, Militarism, Dishonesty and Rugby, Rape is Intrinsic to pakeha Culture!
Never mind the Age of Enlightenment, reason as basis of legitimacy, natural rights, natural law, personal liberty, individual rights, equal rights for women, women’s suffrage or just common sense decent treatment of fellow humans, New Zealand women are disallowed the most basic human right: Freedom from the constant threat of rape.
An American woman living in New Zealand recently wrote to this blog:
I think NZers are the laziest nationality that i have ever met in my life, with no sense of morality, and in most cases even common sense manners. I think it is well documented that NZ women are the most promiscuous in the world… no wonder the men act like cave men. NZ is a country full of rude, backward, morons.
She is very close to the mark but misses the main discourse: New Zealand’s military culture cannot operate like it did in the 19th an d20th century without the threat or rape and bullying.
New Zealand is spending about $2.2 billion on its military racket. That’s the declared amount. New Zealand is also spending another $2 billion on its special operations and spy network, undeclared budget that comes from secret funds!
How could a small country like NZ spend about 4 percent of its GDP on playing soldiers, while forcing its so called “middle class,” homeowner-professionals, to line up for food parcels? Would this kind of state suppression and official cruelty be possible in a non-military, non-police state, a place free of official bullying, threat of rape and physical violence?
Budgeting & Family Support Services chief executive Darryl Evans said his Auckland agency had seen a 43% increase in working families seeking help this year. Last year they had around 13 families with mortgages on their books. Now they have 190, and some are facing mortgagee sales.

Most New Zealand women, especially university students, women in tertiary education, or the young female at work, submit to ‘sex on demand’ to avoid the threat of rape [and serious physical violence.]
Many incidents of rape in New Zealand are on the borderline of consensual sex, if submission under the influence of alcohol could be regarded as such; many more rapes are unreported due to the fear of consequences: retaliation by the rapist, targeting by the police for future rapes and sexual favors, blackmail…
On Friday a “young woman on her first ‘great adventure’ away from home was raped as she lay drunk in her bed,” a court heard yesterday.
Nicholas James Franklin was jailed for seven years and four months by Judge Colin Doherty in Christchurch District Court.
But the culture in which Nicholas James Franklin committed the rape crime never told him rape was bad; in fact, pakeha culture reinforces the legitimacy of acts of rape, murder and extreme violence and justifies it against ‘non-humans’; it sends its SAS to kill those ‘non-humans.’ All Nicholas James Franklin has to do, as if he needed any excuse, is to find a way of dehumanizing his victims.
The dominant discourse tells the would be victims that its alright to be extremely intoxicated; it doesn’t demand security from its motels; it doesn’t blame parents for keeping their teens in the dark. The system cannot operate under scrutiny and supervision.
Every now and then, when victims complain, the system penalizes, to re-assert its legitimacy.
The victim’s mother said to the court that her daughter had been robbed of confidence and self-esteem; she was angry and humiliated, and now hated to be alone at night; but she didn’t say why she never advised her daughter how the system operates. The chances are that she didn’t know about the subtleties of the dominant discourse, either.

It is largely NZ Maori thats the problem, they are a law unto themselves. 80% of NZ prison population is Maori

For every crime committed by the condemned and dispossessed Maori, 99 are committed by pakeha.
If your prison stats were true, it ought to tell you the extent of apartheid in New Zealand.

Yes Maori are over represented in countries prisons, however if we look at the underlying issue behind why this is the case? i think you will find most answers will stem from pakeha setteling in NZ, and the loss of Maori land, culture and sense of identitites. Befor colonosation Maori lived collectively and peacefully, with a very close relationship to the land. Family was a vital part of their culture, which was more or less ripped apart when pakeha settled in nz. They claimed Maori land, forced them to speak only english, and made Maori switch to the “pakeha” way of living. So perhaps if people werent so quick to judge another culture, they might want to think about issues such as those i discussed. How can we expect Maori to healthily live in a westernised culture when thay are Maori? It is not Maori that are the problem, it is our countries history that is the problem. As long as people keep believing and thinking in ways such as the first comment, we will never move in as a country. in my opinion the most criminal act ever made in this country is that of the Treaty Of Waitangi.
